3 C63's vs ISF

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum 'cuz I bought my car last week. It's my first time posting pics on this forum.

I took some pics with my 2 friends C63 (black= Jason & silver= 1st AMG) & my brother Lexus ISF.

Enjoy!

Nice collection of Benz's. Was it difficult finding out your brother is retarded when he bought the Lexus? Just kidding. Sort of...

Welcome to the forum!

Hmm, can you help me ask your brother how does the fake exhaust pipe works?

Welcome to the MB Family.

It's great to see about 1800hp on one driveway I don't know why you all diss the IS-F so much. It's a good alternative for the C63. I've driven it and was amazed with its performance. It's cheaper in Germany, too. Dont know about the States, but here it's about 20k Euros cheaper than a fully loaded C63.

Taking the M3, RS5, C63 and IS-F into account it would be my last choice, but still a nice car.

Thanks for the feedbacks everyone!! I really love the C63, great car all around.

But coming from the Lexus family (L-tuned IS300), I really miss the reliability of the brand. I had the car for 8 years (88 000km) & no problem at all.

^^ Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the stack quad exhaust either.

Can you believe my brother only paid 75$ in fuel charge when he purchased his new ISF (the car has 416hp)... and I had to pay 2000$ in green tax + 1200$ in fuel taxes.

Hows the ISF compared to the C63? Always wanted to drive one but never had the chance.

I think the C63 will be in good company with the IS-F and E9x M3.

The ISF ride is very harsh, I don't like the suspension... it's not comfortable. The C63 is in the same category in terms of comfort, but a bit better.

As for the power, it feels the same as the C63... a lot of torque at high speed. 416hp is plenty for this car. The exhaust sounds is incredibly deep at start up... love it too!

Sorry but I disagree with you. I test drove the IS-F 3 times before buying my C63 and neither the power or torque felt the same as the C. I was very very disappointed with the car except the interior and the technology... Not to mention the amount of body roll it had, handles just like a regular IS250. And about the exhaust...No comparison to ANY AMG exhaust i've listened to, also did you know it was fake?

Well, I might be wrong 'cuz I didn't get to push the C63 yet... I only have 200km on mine so it's still in the break-in period. I might think differently once I get to enjoy the potential of the car.

The rub on the IS-F is it has a smoother 8-speed gearbox, but still gives up time in the sprints with the C63...which tells me, it can't pull nearly as hard if it is shifting faster but still loses pace.

Can't go wrong with an IS-F though...both cars are the envy. I've NEVER seen an IS-F here in Hawaii...not even sure they sell them here. Would love to get a little highway run going.

How are they to tune? I'm guessing there are turbos out there already fitted...typical East Asian motor.

As far as I know, noone has been able to tune the ECU yet. The only mods available I believe are some bolt-ons, bottle and turbo. BTW here is a race in Mexico I did against one with intake, cat delete and then I later found out he also had NOS ( which he always denied). Guy was putting down around 500 HP.
