Ya, still trying to find the best recipe for launching this thing. ESP Off and S or M mode, maybe.

The problem will be getting those P-Zero's to hook!

I'd be interested in going to see the 63 go down the strip. I have a 335 though so let me know, next week looks good.

Get to the track man. humidity won't stop the 63.

d/s m mode will sink you unless you use it all the time and do not ever hit the limiter.

p zero's are good just make sure they are free of debris and slightly lower pressure to soften the sidewall slightly.

This P package was designed more for all around performance and actually slows the car in the 1/4 mi due to increased weight.

Get to the tarck mang you will never wanna leave, lol

You're saying stock C63 vs. C63 P31/PPP, the stock C63 is quicker/faster in the 1/4 mi?

That doesn't make any sense. You know that the C63 P31 makes more power, right? And, I didn't realize that it had any material impact on the vehicle's weight... can you elaborate there?

Please get your cars to a scale prior to 1/4 mi so we can really have an accurate measure between the cars same day same track.

30hp? That is not enough to equalize the extra weght added by brakes, wheels, LSD, even the cosmetic differences, extra leather etc add weight. The 30 hp also is CRANK which means at the wheels it is less 20-25 hp. If 200 lbs are added that additional HP will not help at all.

My car is 186lbs heavier than a stock CLS 63 , it has no additional hp but it will out handle a stock car all day long. My car is slower stock for stock, I took out weight to equalize.(tools, spare, mats, cup holders,)

Weight obviously matters and while it is great they choose to add some engine refinements(wish I had em) the car(my prediction) will not be faster than a stock C63 in the 1/4 mile.

The P31 brake rotors are significantly lighter than non-P31.. not heavier. The calipers are the same, IIRC.
The wheels are the same.
There is no LSD in the P31 package.
I don't believe there's any extra leather in P31; the only cosmetic item that would add any weight is the subtle CF rear spoiler.

So, lighter weight (i.e. faster revving) SLS internals, +30 hp, less unsprung rotating mass (same wheels but lighter rotors), same suspension, same tires, etc. Versus the added weight of a CF trunk spoiler.

Hypothetically, two cars, equal drivers, same track, same day... my money would be on the C63 P31. Maybe that's just me though.

If weight is less or equal then yes it will be a click faster. I thought the p 31 added to 487 hp, 19" wheels, LSD?

The 19" wheels will add near 100 extra pounds . If the car is 70 or more pounds heavier there will be no performance difference. More than 100 lbs and the P 31 car will be a tick slower.

Cool option to have!!

get it done fellas side bets are mounting
