Am I the only one that finds this deal that Donzi got a little hard to believe? $18K off MSRP on a car with the best options and (arguably) the most popular color (with NO negotiation or trade in) sounds a little bit too good to be true. The $10K in trunk money has been gone for months, and unless the car was "punched" (which he said it wasn't) the dealer would have had to have a taken a major haircut to sell the car as claimed. I for one am skeptical. It's the deal of the year if true.

I can attest that it is not impossible to get a deal like that. 3 months back, I called a dealership in VA and asked for 18k off a loaded C63. They came back with 17.4k off, but I had to pass because I didn't like black or red. No trades were ever mentioned.

Well 3 months ago the $10K incentive was still available... Over the last month the best I could get was $12K off... I did find a perfect 2010 C63, FULLY loaded and the color combo EXACTLY like I want, but the stealer wouldn't go beyond $7K off...

3 months ago, the car I was speaking about was punched. The car that he got for 18k is probably also punched. Anything that wasn't punched, is not going to be able to touch 18k. Please keep in mind that his car has the P30 package, which means it was manufactured prior to Dec 2009. That car has been on the lot for over a year, which also means it's highly likely a punched car.

i have compiled some of the info to this sale.maybe I'm missing something that you guys know.the date in the warranty booklet is marked the day i purchased the car.isn't that when the in service date is? should i be looking somewhere else?

I think each dealer has different approach to get rid of their cars. Some keep their inventory until the last minute and send them over to an auction place. Or some just get rid of it if they get a chance even though they lose money on it.
maybe your dealer needed cash immediately. hence lose some money but obtain cash flow. who knows. maybe they can make money off from your interest. but MSRP - 18k i'd say that's super good deal so far. if i see that, i'd purchase the vehicle already!!!!
