my 2003 C320 makes a slight whining noise when I start the engine, and it makes this noise whether the car is moving or not. When I press on the gas pedal, I can hear it along with the engine noise.

hey guys sorry to change the topic about the c320 whining noise, but does anyone know if the trunk money incentive is still there. Im looking to lease and this would sweeten the deal quite a bit.

"Propain" says he has a contact that should be updating him soon on any August trunk $, I'm sure he will post it up as soon as he gets the word.

Okay been talking to a couple of dealers in the nj area. The 10k program is over. The new program has been reduced to 5k.
However most dealers i have spoken to right off the bat, subtract 10k from the car without me even trying to negotiate. This most likely is the 5k incentive plus 5k off the price.
So if your looking to purchase or lease this car for august expect a minimum of 10k off atleast if your in the NJ area.
If your looking to lease for 36 months here are the numbers i was quoted.
"The residual is 54% for the car, and the rate from MB Financial is 0.00280, which is a 5.78% interest rate for the lease."

The real incentive is 15K you just need to push for it, I just picked up a steel gray with ash interior , p2, leather package,Multimedia, keyless Go MSRP $69,905.00. I paid $53,905 for it, total of 16k off. keep in mind thats just for the 2010's only. Good Luck

Great deal, for sure. But it's likely that only $10K of that was "trunk money" in the truest sense. As in money MB kicks in as incentives to the dealer. The rest was the dealer eating into its profit (and maybe beyond) to make a deal on a 2010 that they wanted off the lot.

yeah the dealer's got about $7K in the car from MSRP and Holdback $, so your numbers indicate a $10K trunk and the other $6K is just discounting the car!
Believe it ot not, they still "made" $1K on that deal--still a great deal for you!

just to clarify for everyone:
these cars have roughly 7% from MSRP to invoice and there is an additional 3% holdback for a total of roughly 10% markup from the dealers cost.
If the cars MSRP is $70K they can discount it $7K(10%) before they lose money.
Trunk money is an incentive from MB and allows the dealer to take this amount off the car above their normal discount.
So if MB is offering $10K in trunk money the dealer can discount a $70K MSRP car a maximum of $17K($10K + $7K) to $53K selling price.
So just because someone gets $15K off MSRP that doesn't mean that is the trunk money, that is more likely a combo of normal discount and some trunk money!
oh who gives a shet

I have been researching MB pricing for about 1 1/2 years and this seems to be their over all trend for their true cost:
From listed MSRP price
Dealer invoice price: ~8%
Military sales / Dealer bottom line: ~10%
Mercedes Benz price to dealer: ~12%
Option prices: ~8% to 15%
When I was getting my car, one dealer with a C63 MSRP at $77k and he was willing to give me $12k right off the bet when I didn't even try, but I end up getting another one with $79k MSRP with $11.5k off, and this is less than 14.5%!! I am not saying that this is the best deal out there, rather the $10k to $12k "trunk money" deal is a very fair discount for both buyers and sellers . This is a very good time to buy a 2010 C63 AMG, as I really don't see an invoice priced (~8% off MSRP) 2011 C63 can be that much better, given there is no change from MY2010 to MY2011. Of course if you order one by special order, then you can never get the best deal anyway but that's different.
There is still a base white 2010 C63 AMG from my dealer in Monterey with $63k MSRP, and with the current discount, I guess you can get it for <$52!! That's like used car price for a new car!

Just wanted to thank this thread. Just picked up my black obsidian c63 amg. Never would have thought i could of afforded a car like this if i didnt read up on the trunk money being offered.
I ended up getting an insane deal on a 70k+ sticker price car.
If anyone else is reading this. This is honestly the best time to get a great deal on this car.

@Dr Jitsu , sorry it took so long to respond, just been absorbed with the car. The stick price for my car was $70,550 and i got it at $55k.
I just followed 4ramins advice from this thread and kept pushing for that price. I had to hear a couple of lectures of how that offer didnt make sense. But at end of the day i stuck with the advice from this thread and it worked.
