trunk$$
I went to cars.com just to look and there it was C63 $56***
I would have thought it was too good to be true if it was not for the forum here....msrp was $68705...The 56k was their advertised price...before any conversion at all. Ended up with another K off and I had to do it. One car had 90 miles the other (same options) had 350 miles.
I gotta go drive some more....must reach 1000 miles by weeks end

how did you guys bring it up at the dealer? did you just walk in and asked for the incentive or did you just give them a price you wanted and were persistent with it? any details for someone like myself looking to walk into MB next week and hopefully drive away with a c63?

They did after some negotiation with the GM, and I got nearly $17k off MSRP on my loaded minus CF 09 (this was last year). They got the car from another dealer as well - keep that in mind too, your local dealer doesnt necessarily need to have the car you want. Mine didnt have any C63's at all.

The C I traded for was 370 miles away...so not local, but not too far to swap cars either. Just be a shark and do the numbers as if your buying the car straight out...then when your $$ line up like you want them to, be ready act.
Your trade-in has a value that is pretty much a given. You could always find a private buyer for your trade but you loose the tax advantage. Most dealers are able to give a price for your trade-in over phone conversations....carmax is also an option for your car. They will buy your ride straight out even if you don"t buy a car from them.

Only issue is getting your private party to go along. I usually say it will save them time since the dealer will take care of registration, licensing, etc. They will have to pay sales tax on the trade-in price, but they would have to anyway once they title it with the local DPS office. Some private party will fudge a little on the purchase price to lessen the tax, but its minimal. In TX its only 6.25%.
I've had some dealers try to throw in some document fees, vehicle inventory tax, etc. But they will usually waive those things since you are buying a new car. I think they have to show they at least made a profit so I usually settle on a $100 fee. They could probably even waive that.
I've done this on the last 3 or 4 cars I've bought. Its really most advantageous when the difference between trade-in value and private party value is substantial.

My dealer just told me that MB had dropped the incentive to only $5K. Can anyone verify this? I'm trying to go from my 09 to a 2010 and I need the entire $10K to make it workable.

Sorry, to hear your troubles. But as more and more 2011 E63 and C63 come in from Germany, the incentive will become less and less. Its the nature of the beast. Mercedes needed to get rid of their 2010 inventory of C63 and E63. What better way to push inventory then to offer an incentive, this gives people a reason the buy AMG cars. The 5k incentive is correct next month, it might be just $2500. Mercedes is reaching their sales goals, you might want to wait until next August for a 2011 or 2012 model. But if your going to pull the trigger on one, you better make it happen fast. Because September is around the corner, and the incentives will soon dissappear. i took advantage of the offer on July 30th, and received $12,500 off of MSRP. I was extrememly happy about that. Good luck.

I think you may be right. Might have to wait until next August to steal one. That'll keep the wife happy, too. I just got this 09 in June!

The dealer i purchased my car from actually started off telling me that the incentive is 5k for this month and they don't actually ever give that much off to anyone.
However just stick with a $15k off sticker price and get up if they say your offer is ridiculous.
Every time i got up they kept asking me to sit back down until i finally got the $15k off.
But it might have also helped that they three 2010 c63's sitting in the lot and wanted to get rid of them quick.
I just got mine this past weekend.

2010 C63 AMG (Iridium Silver)
Since you are living in Socal, why don't you contact South Bay MB? I bought mine 20 days ago with 15k off to MSRP. Last time I checked their inventory (about a week ago), they still had two 2010 Black C63s in stock. I am pretty sure they will still offer the same 15k deal on 2010 C63s. Hope it helps.

Thanks in advance

10' C63, 99' 4Runner 250K miles!
All this talk about trunk money ect, how can I get a great deal on a new C63? I won’t be trading anything in, leasing, or financing, I just want a really good cash deal. The prices advertised on the internet aren’t even close to what I read about on this forum. I will be making some trips to the east coast and don’t have any dealer preferences. If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it. I would love to own a C63, but won’t buy one unless the price is right.
