New Custom AMG shifter

Ok, as soon as I picked up my car in Sindlefingen Germany, I recognized that the shifter that MB stuck on our car was cheap and boring looking. I got the Burl Walnut wood and immediately recognized that a matching wood shifter would really look nice. So, I started looking around and found no one with a shifter that matched my wood. However, I checked out formymercedes.com (which I've bought stuff from before, and no, I'm not just doing a commercial for the owner Jerry, but I need to tell you the lengths that he went to). Jerry had some cool shifters, but nothing that matched, what appeared to be, a new wood shade (not sure about that). So I emailed him and said can you match my wood. Here's what we did from there. Jerry sent me 3 wood samples, within a few days of my email. He asked me to take pictures of the wood next to my wood in the sun light. I emailed him the pictures and told him that I thought the wood was a pretty good match- in other words, I was fine with it the sample he sent. However, Jerrry decided it was not. So he asked me for my vin number and somehow got wood that matched my wood perfectly - not just pretty close, dead on. So he sent me a couple of ideas - the one I liked was wood, with a silver and black old school AMG symbol on the bezel.

So he tells me, I think this will be amazing, but it's going to take some time for me to get it made. So, a few months later he gets the shifter in, but get this, he's not satisfied with it yet. Another few weeks later, he sent me what is attached as the photos. A work of f***ing art. I took a lot of pictures all with my new Iphone. I will try to show how perfect the wood match is.

Oh, and I side note - I bought two mircrofiber towels from Jerry too. Honestly, the best towels I've ever used - and he sent me tons of samples of Duragloss products for detailing. Honestly, a serious class act. He didn't have to go that extra mile with the shifter and the samples, and it was really cool that he sent me all that stuff.

let me know if you need Jerry's email- the shifter is amazing quality, and such a huge upgrade from the relatively cheap shifter and interior. as always, email me with questions.

That looks really nice. He was telling me about your shift knob. I'm hoping that he will be convinced that there is a market for AMG replica door pins.

Not sure about a wood shift knob, but the quality and craftsmanship looks good.

I would hope you're not a fan. How would you type if you were just whirring around all day?

Eh. To each his own, I suppose. Some people will like it, some not so much. Nothing wrong with that.

Great looking shifter! I have his CF/allow AMG and it was the cheapest and bets interior upgrade. I agree 100% about Jerry. Stand up guy and his customer service is best bar none. I also have the towels and they are amazing. I would like to see if he could source us a AMG hood emblem since there seems to be no 54cm versions on the free market/eBay. You guys interested?

Yeah, and Jerry had to get another emblem because he was not satisfied with the first one's quality. Honestly, the guy goes over and above when it comes to getting the product right.
