Try thinking about:
a.) The fact that there will be a new M3 out in 2012 may be sooner.
b.) Questionable reliability of the DCT - specially over the long term.
c.) The 29,045,322 shift modes available.
d.) The need for major surgery (i.e. a supercharger or a stroker) to actually get any decent gains.
e.) Sliding calipers on the front.
f.) The craziness of all the 'edition' edition and the 'competition' edition and whatever the heck else they will come up with next just to bugger up the depreciation.
g.) The total lack of logical sense in the application of "Joy is ____" in any situation however absurd.
h.) Always having to use clauses like "on a track", "in the twisties", "just not in a straight line", "for a car with less power" and so on.
i.) One day realising that unless one works there, one doesn't actually spend all that much time at a race track. Hence buying a car simply because it is "better on the track" is a bit...
But seriously, the M3 is a really great car. I like it a great deal. Certainly an alternative the the C63 (and vice versa). On a more serious note, seeing that you already have a C63, why don't you wait and see the next M3?

Ive been thinking about getting one myself...
Ive come to this...
M3 is really not a good looking car. They used to be, but now bleh. You used to be able to spot an M3 from a mile away.
M3 is just not torquey enough for my taste.
M3 is just to quiet.
Hopefully they improve on all of the above in the newer model.

Sounds sweet. Not as throaty as the C63 but really nice.

Simon, do you live near Hung Hum? Near where the concert place is in Hong Kong?
I think I saw your c63 parked near a hotel parking lot there a few days ago... when "Lam Fung" was having his first concert.
