These options are nuts!
1. Since when did they make heated front seats an otion? My 09 came with heated seats and was not option.
2. The LSD option cost me $1,200 and is now $2K?
$84K for a C-series! Add sales tax/lic and you are looking at close to $90K!

No P2, which is pretty much standard on most cars and that package has the heated seats.

How much was the P30 in prior years? Didn't that package contain everything in this P31 plus the LSD?

That's actually the same C63 I've been looking at! Apparently its the only one left in the country with every option. But, I can't justify over $80k for a C class. I want the P31 package and Multimedia with back up camera. Seems like some simple options, but I'd rather go get a 2011 GTR (for less money) than lease that car at $1255/month.

Seems a lot of manufacturers are doing this. They set the basic price low and really kill you with the options. On the surface it's fine, but then you get Porsche who will charge you for crap like metallic paint and iirc actually restrict the performance of their cars unless some very expensive options are ordered (Chrono-pack in the 997).
It always upsets me when car magazines say that "for this amount of money, you'd better off getting a ____". Yes, you can get a [seemingly better value car] for the price of a properly kitted out [one the is perceived to be of less value] but you'll be driving a poverty spec. example. IMO, cars like the C63 should come with key-less go, bi-xenons and a decent hi-fi as standard. Taking those items out achieves an artificially low price, the figure which is only used in car magazines and have little use for the people who actually want to buy the cars.

Mercedes C63 amg, Bmw X5,
I never really thoguht that c63 is a rip off even tho the average price in Europe is almost 100.000$ for c63. I always was kind of pissed when I heard people from states whining about the prices for mercedes bmws and audis'. They are all at least 20% cheaper then in Germany and thats where the cars come from. Ahhh u just have a huge market.=)) altho i wonder what differeces are between euro spec 63 and usa spec63. I ve heard that on some bimmers they use 1000 different parts. JUst what i heard a while ago.

some of the difference between the euro spec and us spec are:
1. US has charcoal filters - Euro no - US guys can install ROTW airboxes to get around this.
2. Some cosmetic stuff like center console, headlight specs, rear brake lights etc
3. Cat Converters - US had tighter emision restrictions - hence loss of some HP in US version (451 vs. 457 I believe)
4. Maybe tires - P-zeros OEM in US, not sure about Euro (heard somewhere Conti on some)
Any others that you are aware of guys?

Euro requires amber turn signals, for some reason, Euro car makers like to switch them to red in the US, which is totally stupid since amber signals are safer.
