I test drove the new S4 before I picked up my C63. I thought the interior and the DCT transmission were great. I really disliked the exhaust sound. Even the aftermarket systems don't sound that great - too tame or too much drone. However, it would be a great car for someone who has to deal with a lot of snow.

It is ur car. You like Audi, buy it. But no way it is better than C63 unless u are .... Many people here had Audi and knew it. Also please stop bringing up ur s...tbox Evo. No one care. If they can afford c63, they could buy s...tbox Evo anyday. It is for young kids. If they like ur Evo, with C63 budget, they would buy GTR and in another forum, not here. Go posting it in Suby forum. U might get attention.
BTW. Ur 500hp Evo has nothing to brag about. Too baby I mean.

^Agreed GTFO if your gonna post up threads that don't even make sense. Go buy the s4 and pray you don't see a C63 b/c the only ones you'll be passing are going to be parked. You prob couldn't handle a 6.2L big boy toy anyway. We wouldn't want you wetting your pants everytime you hear that big V8 rumble. Audi S4s a great car too, all performance cars get my respect, we are the non-Prius people so peace to all, that being said, the Audi S4 looks like a grown up ricer car, to stick with the stereotypes, if you like watching the X-games buy the S4 if you like watching F-1 buy the C63

I have an 2010 Audi A4 as my daily driver which is great so far, so I am a fan of Audi. With that said, anyone willing to pay for an S4 has to have they're head checked. Your paying C63/M3 prices for a car that doesn't even hold a candle in the performance department. Far less HP/TQ and while the suspension gives a decent ride around town it's far too soft to hold a candle to the C63 or M3 on a track. My A4 has the Prestige package which is the same as the S4's and the MMI system isn't near as good as MB's (although the B&O speakers are much better). Maybe if the RS4 comes out soon they'll have something that might compete with the C63, but there is no way an S4 is worth the money.

Whats funny is how you have the special ability to "decipher" a true car enthusiast over an online forum chat. You clearly cannot even spell enthusiast with spell check provided for you. The squiggly red line means you FAILED please try again. A "true car enthusiast" would not make a thread on a MB forum with something ridiculous like c63<s4 and except something positive. What's even funnier is you bashing someone on grammar and then spell expect wrong LOL... You guys are some of the most immature enthusiast's on the planet. You act as though the C63 is the end all be all. The Evo, S4, and C63 all have their place in this World. For me the evo is a track toy and either of the other two are nice daily's. If I lived in Vermont I would buy the S4. If I lived in South Florida I would buy the C63. And people like aroonki are just plain ignorant... Best of luck to the OP on whichever he chooses...

Mercedes is def a much better vehicle without a doubt...you should know that. With that being said, you won't be disappointed with either vehicle. I was looking as S4's and S5's before I picked up my C350 and it really just came down to looks. I didn't need the power and a fully loaded A4 Sline is almost just as expensive as a comparably equipped S4 and is incredibly underpowered.

I cross shopped the C63 and Venza. While the Venza had better cup holders I didn't really like the location of its auxiliary audio inputs. Thus, the decision for the C63 was a no-brainer.

Unlike most I prefer the interior of the c63.

Call me old fashion but I like the straight lines of the interior of the C63.

I actually think that the S4's interior is a bit fussy and overdone.

The C63 seats... I still have to find one car with better seats.

I don't think that anybody with the beige nappa interior with leather covered doors panels will say different from me.

I wasn't knocking the EVO, I only said wife didn't like it but since it was off topic, I didn't elaborate. But I'm go into this a little as when we purchased the EVO back in April of 2008, we also looked at the C63 but I ended up with the EVO because the twin clutch just sold me. After putting on coilovers, intake, exhaust and a custom tune, the car was really fast and handled very very good and I'd say the C63 would have had a hard time keeping up with it on a tight course. But being my wife, she preferred a quieter and smoother riding but still sporty car, so we went back to the C63. The OP compared the S4 to the C63 but I'd also advise taking a look at EVO X Touring which may not have as much prestige as the Germans but definitely should be at least test driven. And if you guys have not driven a twin clutch car, you owe it to yourself to find out just how good these trans are and it seems to keep the car within the power band at all times (at least in sport mode).

One post mentioned the steering of the S4 being too light but what about throttle response and brake feel? I do find the C63's throttle tip-in and brakes too sensitive for my taste though. And this is the only two areas that I'm not 100% happy with on the car, but overall I'd still pick the C63 over an S4.

I'm sure this has been said in all 5 pages of awesomeness, but they aren't even comparable.

Compare the C350 sport to the S4, in my opinion.

The C63 is more a comparision between the RS4, and then YES ther are several and very valid points for both cars.

The C63 in this situation is a no brainer. If you were truly looking at a C63 , the S4 wouldnt even be in the equation and you would compare it to the RS4.


It's like saying the CLK63 Blackseries < S5 ??????????????
