OH MY...Falken Azenis RT-615K!!!
I put on the Falken Azenis RT-615K on my C63 today. Street Legal Motorsports and DOT Approved Track Competition Tire...Holy crap!
I changed the size in the rear to 265/35 and kept the fronts the same.
235/40-18 Front
265/35-18 Rear
This Falken setup is insane. I can put the traction control in Sport, mash the throttle off the line and it simply connects and barrels down the road. I couldn't believe it! With the Pirelli's, I had to fight for traction and feather the throttle in 1st every time.
I didn't really push the car around any corners on the street...but, of what I did do...it was absolutely night and day. I had a lot less understeer and the car is a lot less tail happy too.
I know that the rears aren't going to last very long...but, at least they are sticky and fun.
I don't know if it is my imagination or not, but they seem quieter and for some reason, the ride is smoother...which is nice with the stiff suspension of the performance package. Maybe this is wishful thinking...but, as of day one...that's what I noticed.
The only other thing I am concerned about is wet weather driving...luckily I live in SoCal and don't have to worry about it too often. We will see.
Regardless, I am totally blown away at what a difference these tires make!

2009 C63 with Eurocharged tune and charcoal delete
Ha!!!! About as long as Lindsay Lohan can go without a drink. Measured in days or weeks, not months. Any tire with a treadwear rating of 200 or less is going to disintegrate at an alarming rate on the rear of a C63. There is no magic in tire design, just various compromises. If your priority is grip a soft tire is wonderful. If you use your car as a daily driver (like I do) you will be replacing them early and often.
