Whats up fellas!

Quick question. Ive never tried the Bolster/Lumbar adjustment buttons on the side of our seat till the other day when a passenger asked me what they did. Turns out, neither seat works. We sat in the driveway a good 10 minutes pressing all three buttons, and nothing. Any ideas what it could be, i dont really wanna have the dealer ripping the seats aprt to fix this, as i dont/wont ever use them.

Thanks,
Walter

I would check the fuses first to determine if that's the problem, before taken it in to MB.
Also if you could raise the seat high enough, you might be able to see the electical connectors, maybe their not plugged in. Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you.

Excellent and obvious trouble shooting before the wrath of the stealership...

They most likely are unplugged or blown fuse.

Was the ignition on? These only work with the ignition on.

I dont understand, you paid 60K+ for a Mercedes Benz. Your car is under warranty you can take it to the dealer and let them fix it!

Maybe you never had a bad experience with the dealer.. The techs don't give a **** about your car, they just do there job. I don't want them ripping my seat apart to make this work. It's not worth it to me. I don't use the feature. I'm gonna check the fuses tomorrow. Yes the car was running. My car only has 6k miles. It just seemed odd that neither seat worked.

+1. I feel your pain. See what you can do to fix it before you let people in there tearing up your seats, dash and the leather inside the doors...

I really dont know what kind of dealer you guys are dealing with here. Down here if and when my dealer has to do that, it better look perfect. I've never had a problem with interior repairs.... They usually just order the part brand new from Germany and install it.

Yeah, check all the fuses, replaced them anyway. Check the cables. Unplugged them all, replugged them all. Nothing.

LOL.... but seriously, If your car is under warranty take it in to the Dealer. If not you may want to pony up the money that it takes at least to inspect from them...

Don't put her out of her misery yet....

Yeah, not under warranty or I'd just take it in. I revived just to see if anyone else had come across it.

Does anyone know if the pump is in the trunk like other Benz's or is there one in each seat? That would help narrow this down a little.

I never did this on my c63, but on my c43 the hoses would detach from the nipples, thereby not inflating the bladders. maybe remove the seatbacks and see what's going on back there.
