Smell burnt.

Smell burnt.
My car is Running-in at 400miles. When I turn off engine and exit vehicle, I often smell some burnt plastic. It is not strong but noticable. I try to walk around but could not find it. 
Did anyone have this when your car new? Thanks for help.

Check rear diffuser for proximity. Check for a plastic bag maybe stuck underneath. Check to see if your body paint sticker which is usually located in the rear bumber area hasn't come loose and stuck to exhaust.
Just ideas, but as Chubbs said, its new and its normal for settling in.

I checked for any plastic or sticker as suggested. None found.
I had some new cars before. It never made plastic burnt smell. (They are all Japanese though.) So it is normal for this C63.

There were a few threads discussing this before. It seems the concensus is there is nothing wrong with the car and it is normal. When I push the car hard, I still sometimes get that burn smell and I am at 20K miles.

I got my 2011 C63 a little over two weeks ago, and I had this same problem! So today I was walking back to my car, and I see something hanging from the right muffler area. I get down on the pavement (it's 95 degrees and humid in Chicago today), and there's a semi burnt sticker! That's probably what it was. I ripped it off, and it was some barcode crap, and immediately threw it away.

I had the exact same smell with my 2010 when it was new.
Every time I pulled into my garage I’d have a mild panic and check all over and under. I noticed it more when I was running the car in ‘M’ mode which is most of the time but the smell disappeared after a couple of weeks. I never found any loose stickers or any obvious reason for it.
Until you mentioned it with yours, I’d forgotten it had ever happened.

I just had muffler switched to MKB. Under installation, they found crumble brown plastic burnt attached to middle pipe. I guessed it was plastic bag that flew in. Now my burnt smell is gone. Thanks guys. You were right but I did not look deep enough.

Two days after your post I started smelling the same thing. Crawled underneath and found the remnants of a plastic bag stuck to the exhaust pipe right under the driver's floorboard. Couldn't get it all off, though, so I'm living with it ever-so-slghtly.
