How often do you use the DVD system?
It's such an amazing feature to be able to watch DVD in car with surround sound BUT there is never a chance to use it. It feels like such a waste.
So how often do you use the DVD system?

I havn't even put a CD/DVD in the car yet; I just play all my stuff from USB.
I'd use the DVD function if I could play it while in motion. My passengers could watch movies on road trips. I don't see how a DVD playing is any more distracting than using my navigation system in city traffic (which I do often.. lol)

I actually use it almost every weekday. The reason being I get stuck in traffic almost every weekday. I can spend about 30 minutes per day in stop-go traffic with 10 minute stretches of no movement so in that time, I watch DVDs. Usually can get through a 45 minute TV show in 2 days of heavy traffic. So this is one very useful feature for me! The H/K surround sound is excellent with movies, I would say, even better than my home theater setup except for the screen size!!

Is there any software or any programming we can do to get video in motion? Or is the only way to yank out the unit and mess with the wiring?
I guess, what's the easiest way to do video in motion?

My question exactly. I would really hope there was some way to allow the dvd to be played while the car is in motion. The person riding shotgun would really enjoy this feature.

In the UK we can buy this...
http://www.nav.tv/category/7/72/146
2nd one down in the list.
Not cheap but appears to allow ViM. Not exactly legal so need to be careful in using it!
Now, if I can get this in the UK surely there must be a whole range of products over the pond?? All I did was Google 'Video in motion W204' and this came up.
Can't see why it wouldn't work on any W204 so who's going to be the first to try it out??
