Got my new 2010...$20,000 off sticker!!!
It's funny, I test drove the M3 with DCT and ISF a few weeks ago, but ended up buying the C63 even though I only test drove one (meekily) a year an a half ago. Based on these forums and lots of reviews, I had a hunch that the C63 would be the most fun to drive in normal (i.e. non-track) conditions. And thankfully, I was right! The M3 and ISF can't touch the C63 when it comes to torque, and I have realized the importance of torque after driving the C63 and comparing it to the other two cars. I also test drove an Evora last month. That car handles well, but just doesn't want to go fast. The Ferrari must be a lot of fun to drive. That is an exhaust note to die for. My boss at work has a F430 that he let me drive once. Amazing car. I had been lusting for a Maserati Gran Turismo, but I just can't justify spending 100k on a used S model with less power and torque than our C63s. It does have the most intoxicating exhaust note though.
I got my C63 yesterday, so it will be a few days before I break her in. I have already driven almost 370 miles in two days, but that includes the 260 mile trip back home from Fresno. It is so hard to resist stepping on the gas with this car! I am glad you are enjoying your C63 as well. I love the Euro 19" wheels. Wish we could order them as options on US spec cars.
Give me a shout the next time you are in SoCal. We can have a mini C63 get together with your buddy
.
.The details of the transaction as promised: 69.425k msrp - 16.85k discount = $52.5k + taxes/fees = around $58k. I paid cash, so no car payments or interest to worry about
.Color: Steel Gray Metallic
Options: P2/MM/AMG Seats/Teleaid(useless). The only option I wanted that it does not have is the rearview camera. The dealer was going to install it, but ended up giving me another $850 off on top of $16k. I think I'll just install the camera myself. Hard to turn down an almost $17K discount ($18.5K if you factor in the 10% CA taxes+fees!!) just because it didn't have a camera.

That's a beauty you got there, bro. I also wish I had a backup camera. Where do you buy that aftermarket accessory? I believe the backup camera would help save me or my wife from doing some potential curb rash or worse on the multispokes. I'm getting the badges placed back on my car and painless dent removal to the rear bonnet complimentary from
the dealer on Wednesday since they provide that service within 30 days of purchase. Sometimes it doesn't matter how careful you are about parking your car in good spaces, away from other cars. People will always seem to park next to a car tat they like. Someone apparently leaned on my bonnet while checking out the car, as I noted the dent with some rubbing away of dust around the dent. Oh well, I suppose they're only cars.
Driving home the c63 on the 5 must have been a blast at times. Once again, congrats on the new ride and paying cash for it!
.Edit: I also totally agree with you on the C63, as I tested a MY2009 with no PP a year and a half ago, then end up buying my current ride sight unseen... cash. The Evora was also on my list too, but like the Mazda RX-8, it's a "momentum car", hence it normally don't go very fast but able to maintain higher speed in corners. But again, torque rules for daily driving and this was why I picked the C63

vmx, the steel gray is sick too... I've seen one in Montreal & almost pulled the trigger on it. But I already put a deposit in Ottawa for a white one at the time. Go enjoy the ride!!

.As far as I know I have the only MY2010 C63 with Capri Blue and Sahara Beige interior in the US, and I will be very happy to be proven wrong if someone has another Capri Blue C63
.If anyone of you don't mind paying extra, you can actually order a C63 with ANY Mercedes-Benz color you want as long as you have the code, and it will be awesome if someone picked Orion Blue from the SLK series.

You can order a Kenwood CMOS-200 or CMOS-300 camera from ebay or any online retailer. Then purchase a Fakra adapter from mid city engineering and a RCA cable. There is a DIY section in the W204 forum that will walk you through the steps. Should cost you no more than 200 dollars.

So what happened?!?! Did you get the 2010??
. He is a great guy. I'd ask for $17k off on the black car.The best way to get a good deal is to be polite and straightforward. Tell them about the exact discount you are looking for. Don't ask for $20k off and then go down from there. Also tell them that if they offered the discount you want, you WILL buy the car and are ready to put a deposit on it over the phone. I asked for $16k plus free camera installation and stuck to it. The camera couldn't be installed the weekend I wanted to pick it up, and Gino was nice enough to mention that the dealer would just offer me what it was going to cost them ($850). So that's how I got the $16850 off. I know they could do a bit more, but the dealer and salesmen also needs to feed their kids.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the hook up with Brian. He is awesome! Just working out some numbers with the fiance, and debating the offer we received for a white one also. The biggest annoyance is that silly light tint and the pinstriping they want to charge me $1080. I'll let you know when I make a decision. Thanks again Jim!

Thanks for the advice! I've only been able to get as far as $16k off. I think that's a fair number in my books. It's just that it's quite annoying when I cut to the chase with some of these dealers by asking for their inventory of 2010 C63's that have been punched. They get quite defensive. I tell them that if the price is right and the options and colors are what I want, we can have a deal over the phone. I've come to the conclusion that some of these sales ppl don't like it when you know what they have and can offer. It gets them quite defensive. Thanks for the hook up on the black on in fresno, but it has two options too many that I don't want on it. I did call up the VA dealership for the black one, but the internet guy only wanted to offer me 15k off, which was their advertised price. He gave me an attitude like he was doing me a favor, even though I pointed out to him that anyone on their sales floor can offer that price to me, because it's their ADVERTISED PRICE. lol
My pleasure, hope it works out.

Has anyone else received a White AMG booklet in the mail containing a letter signed by some Big Wig at Mercedes that said Congratulations on your AMG purchase? Also in this booklet was a pull out phamplet containing information about AMG, also a $100 gift card to Saks Fifth Avenue, an a DVD, of AMG Cars, engine, AMG History, AMG innovations. When I bought my 07 E63 I recieved one in the mail, but when I questioned this practice for my C63 I was told no, they stopped this. Imagine how surprised, I was to receive it. I've owned Bimmers over the years, but no other company has taken care of me in the way that Mercedes has. Thank you.
