Tires?
I am in need of some new tires but I'm having some trouble finding a good set of performance tires for these wheels. I currently have the MB 19" AMG V 16 spoke wheels with the Yokohama S drive tires. The front are 235/35/R19 and the rear are 255/30/R19. The Yokohama are decent but I was really looking for more of a performance/race tire with more grip than I currently have. Anyone know a set of tires in these sizes? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ya I did a few searches and the came up with over 200 threads each time. Read through dozens that looked promising but never found a concrete answer so I was hoping someone would be able to spit out some answers and save some time or even copy/paste some links would be great.

Another option would be to go to 265/30/19 tires in the rear. That opens up some options for you like the Continental Extreme Contact DW tires which I have in 18's.

I would not recommend the Bridgestone RE760's. Tried to save a few coin going with these tires and while the dry traction is fine, the wet traction is very poor. I've lost the back end a couple of times under normal driving and when cruising on wet roads, it does not feel stable.
I would recommend the Goodyear F1 Asyms. I replaced just the rears at 8000 miles and liked them. Should have stuck with those, but they are a little more pricey. Get what you pay for I guess.

To the OP, as with any tire thread, you are going to get a dozen different answers (I know I did) for 2 dozen different brands and models of tires.. It comes down to personnel preference, and finding the right tire that you like.... not what everyone else likes, as we all have different driving styles and preferences as well (how much road noise we are willing to tolerate, how much tread life you want... etc).
That being said, I just had my Conti DW's installed this past Sat, they are reasonably priced, and get good ratings at tirerack. I spend 3 weeks trying to figure out which tires I want... I however only replaced the rears since I still have a few thousand miles left on the fronts.

It really it doesn't matter what others are buying for tires, as long as your happy with your tire purchase. But I would suggest going with a wider rear tire, say a 265. I just bought the Continental Extreme Contact DWS in 19" for my E63. And I plan to replace my C63 OEM tires with these as well, they have an extremely long tire life, that we need with the C63, and their all weather, which is a plus in my book.
