Tighten the door handles?

Anyway to tighten the door handles (opening lever) easily or with little taking apart of the door? Anyone done this before? Over time they loosen up...

I'm taking my car in to get various unwelcome noises fixed next week. One of the things I'm asking them about is the door handles.

Thank you for inquiring about it when you go in. It would be great to know what can be done.

Thanks for the heads up...

It's easy to remove and tighten the door handles. Open the door and you will find a small rubber plug next to the handle. Remove it with your fingers. Then you will need a Torx 20 screwdriver. For the front doors a standard length will work but for the rear doors you will need at least a 6" screwdriver to get to the screw.

It is just one screw, loosen it and pull the handle open to remove the handle or tighten it to tighten/ reinstall the handle.

No problem. I'll let you know what they tell me.

Every time I see your sig I think of Jim Carrey's line in The Cable Guy: "He who hesitates, ***********..."

Edit: btw, I'm not making fun. I love that movie.

4500 miles so far and no problems. Except some squeaking, but nothing loose or rattling...cross my fingers.

Is anyone able to add any more info to the door handle removing process (maybe more pictures) as my installer is a bit nervous about taking them off.
