And I'd bet it wasn't actually over 105 degrees where you are. I've got my 09 in the shop right now for an insanely inaccurate outside temp reading. In Palm Springs it registered over 150 degrees! But, it sounds like many of you also have inaccuaracies in your cars as well. Wonder if it can even be fixed.

Nowhere in OC is it even close to 110 degrees. These cars have defective thermometers!

I don't know why, but when it's really hot out, like over 110* F, my car's thermometer will read a tad high. It will show 118* F, when it's 3-4* F less.

Today, we have somce decent overcast in the desert, which a nice welcome. It's a lot cooler today.

You guys wanna talk about crazy weather in L.A? From being an all time record high of 113 degrees, Extremely hot and dry weather in Los Angeles, To being Cloudy and at one point raining today.
In 25 years of living in L.A. ive never experienced weather like this.

It's a dry hot though. I lived in Houston for 10 years. 105F in So Cal feels like 85F w/humidity in Houston.

100F in Houston is unbearable, and you burst into sweat the moment you walk outside. As hot as it is today I'm still not really sweating. And it'll be back in the 80s by the end of the week.

Good thing it rarely ever gets to 100 in Houston.

BTW, you are sweating in LA, it just evaporates quickly making you feel cooler. That's why when its humid if feels hotter because the sweat doesn't evaporate as fast.
