I'd be surprised if you're local tuner shop doesn't have a good set of locking, black lugs. In my limited experience, it's something that you're not going to find in any dealer or high-end shop, but every civic-esque shop will have good lugs for a reasonable price in any colour you want.

If not, a quick google search finds several vendors online, such as:

http://www.upgrademotoring.com/wheels/lugnuts.htm

http://www.jcwhitney.com/black-acorn...lterid=c3863j1

Painting lug nuts can look pretty ghetto pretty quickly, especially with black, and even more especially when you start with chrome.

Those are lug nuts, our cars use bolts.

Check out vivid racing, they have some black one but idk if they'll fit or not. Anyone know our wheel bolt specs?

What are the lug specs for our cars? There seems to be a bunch of places to get them but I have no idea which ones to order.

I know factory uses ball type, but not sure if conical can be substituted?

You can buy bolt "caps" that are black. They're all over eBay. Basically, they're plastic caps that go over your bolts.

Didn't read responses but I just got a set for $60. Makin Ind (Japan) (Rays/Volk) sells them for our car. Any shop should be able to order.

Call my buddy Art @ SonicMS . He is the one who ordered mine. Caveat is that I have not seen mine in person yet to confirm exact color. 650 691-9000

Typically a ball seat is used on OEM wheels, and a conical seat is used on an after market wheel. Has anyone ever thought about just spray painting them flat black. It definitely would be cheaper. I know that once you remount them, some of the paint will come off, I get that. But if you put enough paint, and apply some TLC, it just might hold up.

We will have them, like BadBenz said in about 5 weeks. I had to custom order 5000 bolts in order to get them done so it is a big investment for us. Our bolts are an oil paint based SCM435 hardened steel bolt. We will have them available in both Conical seat and ball seat in 28mm and 40mm thread length.

Our bolts will be $6.00 a bolt and they will stand up to the harsh environment of sockets and the elements. There is no reason to order them early if you want some. I think I have enough getting made to satisfy the needs of everyone. I will definitely make an announcement when they are available and I will include some pictures as well.

I don't like taking money for a product that we don't have available yet. Here, at RPM, we will invest our own money to get the parts that our customers want, I have heard to many horror stories of shops doing buy ins with customers deposits and then when it comes time to do the order the shop has spent the customers money. Hopefully you all hear about these parts soon from us and then you can order them up.

Man, I have to say, $6 a bolt sounds pretty steep. Why so expensive?

Because they are not cheap to manufacture. We are not painting them, powdercoating them or zinc coating them. We are manufacturing a true black hardened steel bolt. The color is built into the manufacturing process from the first stage. We are not taking a bolt and just adding color to it.

I don't think you should consider $6.00 a bolt steep for what it is you are getting. There is probably a reason that these bolts are not readily available. The process is expensive and to make the cost more reasonable you need to make them in very large quantities, not many places are willing to step up and get them in the numbers that are needed. We are making each bolt in quantities of 4000 bolts. Now our customers are not going to want one kind of bolt, they will want ball seat and conical seat and they will also want them in different lengths. That's A LOT of bolts.

It's a very big investment from us to try and supply you with the parts that you are looking for. I hope that you guys appreciate that and when the bolts are released I am sure that you will find them to be high in quality and meet your demands as a customer, that is our goal. Quality is our number one priority, customer service is number two and price is number three. I think you will find the price to be very reasonable once you compare them with what's out there.

$6? You should charge more. $11, I think, for the last one I bought from the dealer.
