Looks similar to the W212 E-class but everyone expected that.

Meh....no biggie. Looks the same. I like MY2008-2010 better.

 

Just think it seems to have a bit more of the usual MB quality feel in it in comparison to the present model...but just my opinion..

 

Thank god they are getting rid of the mechanical LCD.

 

The only reason I like the mechanical LCD is because you can hide it into a clean dash and the car takes on an aggressive race look to it when you desire it. It's not blaring at you constantly.

 

You can turn it off :P

 

+1, plus it looks badass when it does pop out, especially when you have guests .

 

is 2012 C class a completely new model with new chasis?

 

I love the fact that you can hide the display at night, and not have the bright screen hitting you in the eyes on a dark lonely road. In my E63, I can darken the screen but it's still in your face. But I feel the for an AMG, the interior isn't up to standard, to differentiate it from the regular C-Class. I feel that AMG should have put a Alcantara headliner in it, and covered the dash in leather. In the New E63, you have to buy the Performance Package to ge the Alcantara Headliner. In my 07 E63 it was standard, same in the E55. I think that Mercedes dropped the ball, when it comes to these things. Other than these few things, the C63 is worthy of AMG status.

 

Nope that 2012 is the same chassis W204, but it has been updated with a new front fascia incorporating LED driver's lights. I can't say whether I hate them or love them. I can say, that I would rather have light projected in front of me, then LEDs just to be seen. The interior has changed some with the contols for A/C and such. I think that the W205 will be released in 2013-2014, as we are seeing subtle changes in the 2012 model from photos. By this the W204 will be 6 years old.

So true! I keep my radio on so it does it automatically when you start the car lol. Everyone loves the Benz symbol.

 

Not a fan of the 212 E interior, and not liking this one so far either. I think the new nav location looks like crap, kind of like an Audi S5.

Gotta agree with the rest of you on the pop-up display, but other than that i think it's a step to the better.

 

I love the pop out LCD.

Both current MY and the new interior look great to me, MBZ designers again hitting the mark.

 

I wish they would have gotten rid of the number pad! that irk's me!

 

You need the keypad. I use it all the time with the Multimedia Media package. Its quick search thru the phonebook, address, nav, radio music!

Try scrolling to the "m" section of ur ipod when you have 500 songs. And 500 isn't even a lot.

How do you NOT use the keypad?

 

hopefully they will replace the pathetic nav system as well ...
