You answered your own question. Fortunately we have a qualified MB mechanic that is giving us the data we need to make the changes in order for this process to be successful. Take a deep breath and relax. We are moving as fast as we can. When you are first it always takes longer and cost more. Hopefully some time this week.
Then everyone else can benefit from the R&D.

Thank you for pioneering this for the rest of us! Cant wait to see the results.

Keith,

Quick question and i apologize in advanced if i missed the answers.

How much HP increase did you get after the cams were installed? Delta? Was it you or someone else who mentioned you can get an additional 100rwhp increase with just these?

Thanks

I'm gonna go ahead and say 100whp is NOT gonna happen from cams alone

I believe the 100rwhp you are refering to is going from stock to MHP long tube headers and tune. Thats a factual statement and I've seen it repeated on different cars. Pretty amazing with just headers and tune!!

We do not have any numbers for the cams yet. I am hoping for approximately 50rwhp (+/- 20). I think thats a strong possibility. The big difference is that the power with the stock sticks lays over, goes flat, or drops off after 6,000 or so rpms in most cases. We are hoping that these will continue to climb to 7,000rpms. We may know as early as later this week. Thank you for your patience.

That's going to be exciting to see. Your motor is going to be a screamer.

Hey Guys,
Quick VERY BIG NEWS update!!

The MHP cams are back in my car, running like a cheetah and making numbers like we anticipated!!!!!!!! Their tuner has been able to crack the challenges and make them work.

I won't give you exact numbers yet because there is more tuning in the works. However, in Florida hot and humid conditions (78 degrees and over 70% humidity) the 500rwhp number is no longer good enough N/A!!

More to come next week so stay tuned.

All I can say is that I have been smiling since about 10:30am this morning when we made the first pull. This is going to change the game. YEEHAW!! Boys, save your pennies!!

Wow this is great news! It's been awhile since I've read something that has caught my attention on these forums. I will be eagerly awaiting to read your full review, and I can't wait to finally see some video of these cams in action. That last teaser video you posted with the car at idle and the small blip of the throttle sounded INSANE!

DAD: You have a porting job done on your heads correct?

Whats the specs on these cams? Higher lift more duration for top end? Stock valve springs?

Whats the lift on the stock cams??

Sorry for all the Qs.. Good work guys.

I do have MHP ported heads.
I have very recent dyno numbers with all the current mods except the cams to compare. I did it when we completed the ram air set up/hood just a couple of weeks ago.

The springs are stock springs. Germans use very good quality springs.

All the specs of these cams are proprietary. Probably less than five people know the specs and it will probably stay that way. I know Andy spent a LOT of $$$ getting the stock cams identified and then specing out these new cams. I don't even know the specs and I don't care. All I know is the dyno numbers are bigger all across the graph!!

Will have a new file soon and then I'll advise.

Looking forward to this. I wonder when the other tuners will catch up? I guess if you are taking the sticks off, you might as well upgrade the so called "weak components" in the valvetrain?
