New C63 AMG
I'm new here and I'm going to buy a C63 AMG from the states to use in Europe. I'm rather clueless with cars but they interest me so I was hoping you guys could help me by answering the questions for me
:1. How do I switch to Kilometres per hour from the set-up Miles per hour
2. What are some important Packages I should get?
3. Which tuner do you guys suggest for it to have a loud engine, I heard of Modern Horsepower(MHP) is there a better one for the C63?
4. Can I have ceramicbrakes on my car?
All help is appreciated

1. You can switch from mph to kms, using the sterring wheel controls. Select settings in the cluster.
2. I would definitely get the p2 package, AMG leather package, and the multi-media package with a ipod integration kit. If your looking for more performance then, I suggest getting the Performance Package.
3. Since you going to Europe, that it to AMG in Affalterbach, Germany, they will definitely hook up for you.
4. AMG might just have a Ceramic Brake Package for it. But there is no other manufacturer that I'm aware of that offers ceramic brakes for the C63, you can get them on the E63, and the brakes size are the same for both the E63 and C63. So AMG might offer this for their European C63 owners.

1. You can buy gauge overlays here - http://cgi.ebay.de/63-AMG-Mercedes-B...02163315660616 That been said you can also have kmph shown in digital read-out. Therefore your speedo will be in mph and the digital read-out will be in kmph. I moved to the overlays as the digital read-out is too small and I got tired of it. If you use the overlays you will need MB to recalibrate the speedo with the kmph overlays. This is not a big deal.
2. Get rid of the airboxes of car as they are US spec and have extra filter. You can order ROW (Rest of World) airboxes which don't have the charcoal filter US cars have. This allows for better airflow. I would also buy an extra set of tires and ship in car. Tires are more expensive in Europe and you will go through the stock P-zeros fairly fast.
3. MHP makes great headers. Their tunes are good as well. I would also look at Kleemann as they are based in Denmark.
4. I am not sure if the CC brakes are available as option in US. If you really want them you can take your car to the AMG Performance Studio in Germany and they would do it...BUT...this is BIG $ and I really don't see these been of any use for you unless you are going to track your car alot and you can push the OEM brakes to limit. Best bet would to buy EvoSport ported brakes dics and upgrade the brake oil if you track. These discs are much lighter and keep cooler. If you track don't bother with AMG LSD - it is not that great and you can upgrade yourself to Quaife 9V for $1k or so. Forget MB Carbon interior - complete rip-off.
One last thing. If you get ECU tune make sure that you mention to the tuner that you will be using 100 RON gas which is different than premiuim in US. Slightly higher octane level.

I found this:

But is this one good or believable it seems too cheap to be true....
Looks like most of the basic questions have been answered.
As far as packages go, most cars (US) will come full loaded already. I honestly wouldn't bother with the Performance Packages. You can get just about everyhting aftermarket, for less money and much more bang!
With regards to tuners, I would highly recommend Evosport (www.evosport.com). They have tuned all my cars and their upgrades are super high quality and incredible power! They have a full tuning program for the C63 and I believe they have dealers in Europe as well. Kleemann is also a good company I have used in the past.
Good luck!
