I like it better then most C63 exhausts out there. It has a very unique tone. Sounds like there is no rasp in the sound.

I do like it, but there are times (45 secs and 54 secs) where it sounds like a whoopie cushion.

Its not loud for me! and tone is too low. I wanted more loud and more high tone exhaust.

I liked this exhaust better before I heard the clip

oh well, I wasn't buying it anyway.
Still gotta say it's a piece of art and good for the "man that has everything"

I actually very much like the sound. I just wouldn't pay close to $6,000 for it.

.
This might be the solution, soundwise, that Superlubricity is looking for to tame those LTs.

AMG GT-R
Considering this still leaves the factory primary cats in place, I think they did a good job at creating a unique sound for the C63. I'm sure with LTs, catless midpipes, and the slip-on Akrpovic mufflers, it would probably sound louder and deeper. Our factory mufflers already sounds like an aftermarket exhaust though, so it's funny to see that to achieve that "aftermarket" sound for the C63, they reverted to a more muffled sound. Sure does look nice though.

so this is still considered a cat-back system correct?

The full Evolution system is considered a header-back since it deletes the secondary catalytic converters. the Slip-on would be a cat-back.

Do they offer a different style tip? The rectangles are terrible.

So many haters on this lol... I like the look and the sound. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the price.

I expected much more from this setup... too bad.
Akrapovic should remain at producing exhaust systems for BMWs

There is a remote possibility that the tips from the other exhausts they produce would bolt up. Each tip is bolted on individually after all. This is something that I would have to experiment with when I get a chance.

I see a lot of comments avout those tips. Personally, I think it is the coolest part of the exhaust. Not only they are a production marvel but also, all the new AMGs come with similar style tips from the factory. The quad ovals are a classic but the style is on the way out.

Have a look at this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...th-photos.html

The difference in power and sound comes mostly from the secondary catalytic converters being left in place when you do a slip-on system.

The numbers from Akrapovic are:
Evolution: 12hp / 16tq
Slip-On: 5hp / 9tq

In reality you can use a slip-on and gut your secondaries.

AMG C63
A fellow C63 owner installed the Akrapovic exhaust recently. What can I say? The workmanship, finishing and exhaust note are beyond words. There's also a 20kg weight saving over stock. The moment the car was started, I told myself I had to get it. And indeed I placed an order right after a short spin in the car! It'll be my X'mas present.
