Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust: Official Update Thread
I know there is a thread out there discussing this exhaust system but I would like to start this thread to consolidate whatever information we get. It looks like Akrapovic is finishing up the development of the system and we wll have the images very soon. That being said, they have already dynoed the system so see the results below:
Slip On
+5 horsepower
+8 ft. lbs. torque
19 lbs. lighter than stock
Evolution
+12 horsepower
+16 ft. lbs. torque
42.5 pounds lighter than stock

Evolution normally includes the headers and the slip-on is normally just the mufflers. I'll keep you posted as I find out more. I believe they will have this exhaust at SEMA on display.

The full images of the system is out along with some more information. The exhaust will be priced in the neighborhood of $5,800 and the first batch will be done practically any week. Because of the cast titanium tip design, Akrapovic is taking their time to find the best way to manufacture them. That is the only reason for the delay.
The exhaust will be available trough us as soon as the first units hit the US shore. If this exhaust is as popular as the Akrapovic M3 unit, the first batch will go in the first week. We are taking pre-orders on these exhausts.
More real-world images coming shortly.

A bit OT,but Akro is hands-down THE best exhaust on the market for a sportbike &has been for years.Had a few Evo 2 systems on my own bikes.
A lot of the multimillion dollar budget factory raceteams use their systems on their race bikes;Im sure anybody who buys an Akro for their car will be quite happy as well

Very nice indeed but obviously very pricey as well. Looks like they tried to copy the new OEM square tips. Not sure it works with the lines of the C.
Very interesting however to see that a reputable company build something that has no H or X pipe. It looks like after all you don't have to have an equalizer and it still produces an increase in hp. In essence, the deletion of the secondary cats and resonator with straight pipes seems to be a valid option.

I also noticed the lack of an x or h pipe.
This exhaust must be very loud.
I wonder what diameter piping this exhaust is? The reason I want to know is because if there are power gains from this exhaust but the exhaust is still 2 1/2", then the power gains likely come from removal of the stock resonator/h-pipe and secondary cats.
And even if this exhaust does have larger diameter piping, then the lack of resonator/second cats probably does contribute some power gain.
I would love to hear how this system sounds. I really like the weight savings.

For that money, you can get a tune, headers and a pulley. That's at least 120rwhp. I agree that the quality is probably unmatched but you can't really see and share it. It is not like opening your hood and looking at a carbon fiber carbonio intake.
As far as the sound is concerned, it may sound different but it is hard to beat LTH.
