Weird quote. How do you possibly know he doesn't know how to drive? The C63 will beat the m3 in a drag race any day of the week, regardless of driver. Put Michael Schumacher or John Force in the car, they can't make up the extra ponies.

BMW left M3 owners no room for power gains from tune/bolt-ons what so ever. Owners who wanted more power were forced to go either with forced induction or NOS - both of which require intensive work. I am not knocking the M3.... it is a great car. I'm only speaking in terms of power gains.

some of you guys make it sound like stock c63 can walk away a stock m3 with no effort at all but thats just not true.

I mean from a dig C63 will pull out a gap tat the M3 will never be able to fill due to its low end torque but from roll with the M3 in the right gear its not that easy for C63 to walk away.

I remember GT board had a video of a stock dct m3 vs stock c63 from a roll and it was pretty much neck to neck.

Of course with a tune C63 will walk a stock or chipped M3 with ease.

I actually wrote a whole response about how wrong you are. I mean, there's 150wtq difference, but just before I hit "Submit Reply" I went to youtube. Glad I did.

I didn't know the m3 was that good from a roll. It seems like the amg will inevitably pull a fender or so stock for stock, but I anticipated it walking away. Pretty cool.

I have love for all good cars.

Your original thought is common among many C63 owners as many believed that the massive difference in torque will make a huge difference on the straight. It is very true that more torque means the car will pull harder.

However theres a lot of other factors that will effect straightline performance. Such as weight, drag, gear box, tire size and so on.

M3 is 200lb lighter, has much fast gear change(if you opt dct), slightly wider tires and less drag which causes it to be neck to neck with the much more powerful C63 from a roll.

However in real world everyday situations the C63's massive torque definitely gaves it an advantage in the straightline.

Haha so true...but the M3 is sexy as all hell. Sexiest car out there. Had the 2010's had the audio system of the 2011's I'd be in one right now.

That's dumb considering that before the M3 was released, car experts were saying that tuned 335s would be faster than the E92 M3s
