For something that will make the car look that much more unique, adds much needed functionality (heat-release vents), and increase the car's performance (less overall weight + better weight transfer to the rear when racing), there shouldn't be much to think about

I really think these hoods will be making a bold statement. Even though the OEM hood has really nice lines, we all know that the C63, with it's undercover, beastly personality, is just asking for a hood like this.

Plus, I can't wait to see if my IAT's drop. Either way, heat is almost always an enemy, so combating it is paramount.

Unfortunately not.... However I would definitely go for it The E63 hood and E55 hood are the same, so it maybe worth a try to post this up in the E55/E63 section to gauge interest.

By the way, you may want to double check with gyrex whether he still wants FRP or Carbon Fiber.... based on his comment earlier, he may switch to Carbon Fiber.

Honestly,
I had planned to but I threw in the 10% early needing to push it to 10. I was going to offer a 5% discount at 15 and 10% at 20 but I let the 10% go early. The freight is the big challenge and I'm eating that part to the USA.

Am alsa considering the CF version and painting it so as to leave just the exposed louvres in CF. What do you think?

I'm doing that on my black car...I'll let my shop tell me how they think it should be done but this is routine procedure for them.

That is exactly what I am doing and I may leave the area from the center vents back to the cowl in raw c/f as well. Now if I can just find a supplier for the DTM bumper with the c/f lip.

The stock hood arrived today at the Zhuhai airport in China and was released for pick up. Stone Carbon will pick it up next week and get started. Have a great weekend!!
