I have the tracking number for the first hood coming to me. As soon as it gets here(this week) we will test fit it to make sure its what we want and then I'll release production. He said it will take 10-14 days to produce them, then ship them. Then its 3-4 weeks to get here sea freight. I will receive them all here in Florida and ship them to you. You should have them in 6-8 weeks at the most. I am trying to be conservative. If they get here sooner then I will let you know.

For us living outside of the US, I assume it would be easier for us to have shipped direct from Stone Carbon to us individually than routed via the US. Is this the plan?

Will not change a thing!! The fit and finish are VERY GOOD. Every carbon piece this large will have some imperfections but the weave is straight for those of us who have ADD problems. 
The finish is very good and overall its an excellent piece!!
It even has the inserts for the hood struts for those that asked the question. It weighs 21 pounds!!

Here pics of the first hood on it's owners car. Howard and Cindy (HHughes) own a Mars Red C, and are the first to hit the roads with the new "Dads Performance Vented Hood". I believe he is getting some paint work done, but I'll let him fill us in on that part of the mod. The fit and finish of these hoods is great, and once again, only weighs in at 21#. For those who haven't done any hood changes yet, but have ordered one of these, the hood removal nad install couldn't be any easier. 30-45 min tops!!!!
Best of ALL, is that if Howard sees this before he gets home..........

Your stock piece goes back in place there. HHughes and myself don't run that piece because it blocks airflow. When we road race we notice a decrease in engine temperature without it and no one even notices it 99% of the time.

Stock hood weighed 53#.
Carbon Fiber weighed 21#.
Thats a 32# loss right off the nose!!

So whoever installs hood needs to remove this trim piece form the stock hood and attach to carbon hood? Will the carbon hood come with mounting points already for the trim piece??

Yes, its very easy. There are marked places where they will need to drill six very small holes into the underside of the hood and reinstall the six small screws. Very simple. The entire swap takes less than 45 minutes.
