Nissan GTR vs c63 amg
So I came here to state my opinion on it. You got a problem with that? I am not interested in taking any of your snippy remarks as if I am some highschool ricer kid or interested in having a forum debate on why I think what I think and I can give two Sh*ts what your assessment is on my opinion on the GTR.
Have a great Halloween and enjoy the rest of your Sunday night.

Please show me the "data" where a stock C63 outruns a stock GTR. Also show me an "Andy (MHP) C63" that runs a 205 mph mile or a 1/4 mile in 9.1 @ 163.
This is my final post in this thread (unless someone says something stupid).
The bottom line is that if you need to get from point A to point B ASAP, you pick the GTR. If that is not your sole mission, the AMG gets the nod.
Thanks for sharing the videos. We all know that our little C can sometimes hang in there and beat the monster Nissan.
We however have to give kudos to Nissan for building one amazing machine. Stock, it can outrun and outtrack a 997TT which used is the benchmark, let alone a stock C63 and if extreme tune, it can show its tailpipes to a Bugatti Veyron.
The ability of the GTR to be tuned to the king of the road should be revered. I do not know of any tuned Mercedes that can outrun a Veyron.
When cars are racing from a roll, the outcome is only partially determined by the respective vehicles' quarter mile ET's and traps.
So, a C63 that traps slower in the 1/4 than a faster car, may be able to pull on it in a roll or at least hang much better than it would in a straight up 1/4 race from a dig.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Sleepdoc's 2010 GT-R just has a Cobb AccessPort custom tune, DPs, and HKS exhaust. Even if you remove his HKS exhaust and put the oem exhaust back on, he's still in the mid-upper 10's @ 128-130mph. He just ran 10.3 sec. @ 132mph...

10.4 sec. @ 133mph...

10.6 sec. @ 132mph...

All true for the GTR, BUT thats ^^^^ from the digg, these runs were BOTH "roll-ons". Fact is the GTR got beat (in these two races). Anyone have the facts on the mods on these two cars?

+1, very true. I've beat Subies and other cars in "roll-ons" that I could never beat from a digg.

What other vehicle can do half as much as a GT-R can for it's price range? Not a whole hell of a lot... if anything at all. Closest thing in my mind is when you add a few more bucks to your pile and next comes the ZR1. People purchase GT-R's for their purpose, not the brand.
Where do you get that they're over exaggerated? I don't recall the last time I saw a $80,000 car run 7:26.7 at the Nur.

+1 , the GTR is no doubt a great car. 2012 with its added performance will be even better!! Now, if you want to go really really quickly, stock, look at the 2011 911 Turbo S with Sport Chrono and PDK!! 10.8 stock at 130. 0-60 2.6 (brutal)

The GT-R does tend to fall flat over 110 mph in stock format (mine was stock for a short period) but it clearly responds to mods better than most and the pricing is reasonable. I have the HKS 570 kit plus exhaust and injectors and not even my heavily modded 997TT can keep up with it.
Congrats to the C63 owner who won this race!!

I dont drive it... ever.

The car has some pluses but the suspension is kidney pounding hard at times; even moreso than my GT-R. I do like the exhaust note above 3500 rpms... The 8 speeds is nice but you can get lost in the mid range of gears if you are not paying attention.
I know its reliable this is true.
