Don't think so. The 8100 is.

The 300v is so much overkill for your engine its insanity, plus you'll need short intervals.

Great oil for aircooled turbo porsches, not really for water cooled V8s.

Motul 300V is a really "thin", as Oliverk wrote, great for turbo cars like Porsche, Subaru etc. Short change intervals mean 4-5k miles…

Which one out of the 8100?

Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40 is approved by MB229.3
Motul 8100 X-max 5W-40 is approved by MB229.5

Motul 8100 E-tech 0W-40 doesn't seem to be approved, but this brochure says so http://www.motorspot.com/2003%20Brochure.pdf

The MB spec for our cars is 229.5 - SAE 0W40 or SAE 5W40 only

So X-max 5w40 it is? What about X-cess 5w40? It is not on 229.5, but on 229.3. Also, I heard that 0w40 is better for cold starts, but E-tech 0w40 is not on the MB sheet...

Motul 8100 X-max 5W40 is on the approved list 229.5 and is an approved weight/Viscosity.

Oils on 229.3 are not approved for C63.

E-tech is not approved if not on the list.

0W40 is better for cold starts but both 0W40 and 5W40 are approved for the full operating ambient temperature range of the C63.

I agree the 300V is too much, is an oil designed for racing and changing the oil after a day of race. It's a great product and it does make a difference!!! I tried it in a tricked up mustang and a skyline and the 300v makes the engine run and stay at a perfect 204 degrees. But 8100 is better for street use. you should change it every 5000 miles. here is a link where i get the Motul 8100:

http://www.cheapoilstore.com/english...cess_5w40.html

here is where i get the Motul 300v:

http://www.cheapoilstore.com/english...acing_oil.html

and here are all the motul you could ever want!!
