Okay so here is the situation I am in: I just crashed my c63 and will be getting out of it like 71000 dollars(i m from europe tho). Thats how much insurance is paying me. So in January I m going back to school in Florida(FINALLY) and my original plan was to buy a brand new c63 with that money(I love this car really)
But then I could get a used aston martin like this one
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Or even the new Sl550 but thats just too slow=))))) altho aston is slow as well, i mean slower then c63 right?
So again what would you suggest me to stick with the c63 or try and get something else?

I would suggest that you just sleep on it. You have plenty of time to make a decision. You could always buy a used C63, and bank the rest of the money. Like these cars;

If you are power hungry (I think most of C63 owners are), you will not be satisfied with the Aston. I had a deposit on a vantage and I drove it like 5 times. I tried to justify myself that I am buying a different type of car and would not be racing every car out there. Yeh, right...
The Aston is super sexy, LEDs at night are awesome, engine note is even better than the C but the car's power does not match the roar. This is the reason why Aston upgraded the power to 420hp in 09. The Sat Nav is ancient and there is no bluetooth on early models. The best is the new Vantage V12 but it is obviously more pricey.
I would recommend as well to sit on it and when you come in the States, look around and see what is available. The market is plentyfull of great deals. It all depends what you are looking for.

If you can get decent service and support at a good price, then I don't see why not.

I would buy a low milage 2010 c63 and mod the hell
out of it!
If you don't need 4 doors, maybe a GTR...
I wouldn't buy the Aston, as the factory warranty is
over and repairs are freakin expensive!!!

You can buy a C63 too but i would really look into a Z06 or a GT-R.

Ye thats what I thought that I wont be satisfied with the power as I am looking for power=))))Most probably i will take low mileage c63 with p31 and then mod the hell out of it like some guy suggest it. I dont wanna be disappointed with power and i knw the c63 is brutal and with p31 its even better. Altho I will wait for me to come to States and look around=)Originally Posted by emericr

Lease is up in less than a year. If MB has the R172 SLK AMG out then it will be under consideration. I've already had a R171 SLK.Originally Posted by _AMG_

M3 is a bit slower and 500 pounds heavier and I just don't like the way the convertible version of the M3 looks.Originally Posted by Djovovic63

That is the only reason why I considered Aston Vantage. I knw its not as fast as the c63 but hell its pure sex like u said. But then again when I think it over, I dnt wanna own a car just to look cool I want to have something powerfull and something that I can easily make even more powerfull and the c63 falls into this category. I am also considering the GTR but one thing thats preventing me it is a two door car. Now I knw Aston is also two door car, but Aston is like u said amazing to look at. And gtr its just a Nissan( dont kill me for this, I think nissan is just not on the level merc or aston is)ahhhh the thing is I dont want to regret it and I knw the c63 is a car that i really loved. I ll see I still have 1.5 months to decide=))))

I agree. Everyone on this forum drools about GTR's. A GTR is nothing more then a Datsun... I don't car about performance #'s, I would rather spend more on something that isn't a Datsun. The Vantage is a pretty nice car, but to be real your only paying for the looks because dollar for dollar there are other cars in it's class that are much better (although not nearly as sexxxy).Originally Posted by Djovovic63

Whats your price range? I'd go Audi R8 V10, Porsche GT3 or Turbo

Get a P-car, a used 997tt. You won't be complaining about power then.

For now up to 75k. So the r8 v10 is out of my price range and yeah i could take the gt3 2007 nd turbo 08. But I m not a really big fan of porsche.=))) I mean they make absolutely awesome cars (gt2rs oh my god) but I dntk think thats the car i would like to drive on daily basis. I would realllyy really want to have an SLS now hahahha=))but i m gonna have to wait another year for that. Thats the sickest car out there if you ask me.Originally Posted by NickZag

Stick with the C63. For sure look for a used one, but definitely spend some $$$ on go fast mods. My impression of FLA is that you're called upon to pt your money where your mouth is more often than most other places & you'll need the speed.

I would stick with the C63 because it is very well rounded. I'm sure you loved driving your C63 and that's a huge factor.
There are faster cars and cars that look better, but the C63 is a very, very unique combination. There's really nothing like it.
The fact that our cars (at our weight) run mid-to-low 11's with headers, tune, and DR is extremly unique.
And the M156 engine is excellent. It's really one of the last and one of the best of its kind. We will all remember how much we loved this engine years down the line.
I was just thinking about this last night. I drive so many miles this year. I have put on 7K miles since I bought the car in mid-August. I hate the fact that my car racks up the miles, but honestly, my love for the car is partially to blame.
When I drive out of town sometimes I can use my fiancee's car (Mitsubishi Galant), I could probably borrow one of my family members' cars, I could probably stay home more and run fewer errands, but I find myself always wanting to drive my C63.
I've never experienced this before with another car. I can't separate from my car more than I have to. If the choice is drive my car and rack up miles or let it sit out one trip and preserve it, I will take my car on the trip every time.
So, I guess it's obvious that I love this car. My vote is that you get another C63, mod it to your liking, and drive it for a few years and then get get a new car -- a car that's from MY2013/14. Those model years will probably be even better than the current crop of bad azz cars.
