C63 Dyno numbers from OE Tuning...

Went down to Gintani this afternoon, and had my car dyno tuned.
I cant express how great OE Tuning is. Jeremy is an amazing guy with extraordinary talents. He made my car put down more power then I ever imagined.
I want to express my appreciation to OE Tuning and to all the guys at Gintani.

Here are the numbers....
I pretty much made an extra +60 HP and +43 TQ over baseline.

Do they tune the car on the dyno? Also, exactly how do they tune the ECU? Does it have to be removed, do they open the ECU, or do they just flash it thru the OBDII ? Thanks and congrats on the new power

Hey thanks man,
After Jeremy flashed the ECU. We got the car on the dyno to see what kind of power it made.
So he took the ECU back out, opened it up, tweaked it, put it back in the car. We ran it some more until we made another 15whp. Overall we made about 60 wheel HP over baseline.

Hmmmm - do you have any idea what he did when he opened up the ECU?? Strange considering the tune was flashed...wonder why he didn't just reflash it for changes instead of opening the ECU and "tweaking" it

Did Jeremy record any air fuel ratio? I'm going there tomorrow to get tunes.

Can someone give me a reasonable explanation why the baseline HP figure is recorded after 3500RPM, while the tuned figure is recorded just after 3000RPM. I'm a novice when it comes to dyno's so maybe someone can chime in on this? I would think the readings would be consistent in terms of start and stop points?

Some dyno machine have a push button to start record the datas and so you really can't push the button at the exact RPM everytime.

Yup, Its the "heart breaker" dyno.
But I want the dyno to read as accurate as possible, even if it is low.

I dont know exactly what he did. But pretty much the same process as when I first flashed it (opening the ECU, etc..). I guess its gotta be done for a Dyno tune.
Im no expert but Jeremy is a tuning guru. These questions would be best answered by OE Tuning.

Agreed, that is interesting, because I thought you only needed to open the ECU once to upload the new firmware version. Once that's done, can't the tuning be done through the OBD-II? I'm sure there's something in the process that I'm missing, though.

To me the only way to "tweak it" would be to hook up a laptop via OBD and change the maps, but I didn't think you could do that with this car...yet.

C63 soon!
Are these tunes "canned" or are they customizable for individual cars via dyno tuning?

Awesome numbers!

Once Jeremy finishes the shop up it will be much better, airflow wise. I was just there on Monday getting tuned and it was a blast like always. Jeremy spent a great deal of time with my car and his time was valued! Gintani and OE Tuning is a great team.

Both. OE can flash your tune and optimize it on the dyno if you want, like AMG did.
