MCD CF Splitters - preliminary photos

Some months ago I contacted Mark at MCD to see if he would be interested in making a pair of left/right splitters in CF, either as a one-off custom project for me or more probably, as an eventual production item. I was not interested in a one piece splitter (add-on appearance and clearance issues) and the ACS splitters on my M5 had worked out beautifully so I was looking to replicate that effect.

To fast-forward, Mark sent me the first pair over a month ago. They will be mounted (glued) shortly but I stopped by C&C Autobody in Pasadena to have Nathan take a look at quality and fitment. Here are some mock-up photos of the splitters being held in place. I will update this thread as more developments take place.

Big thanks to Mark and the MCD crew for taking this on and my apologies for being a little tardy!

They look great! My only suggestions would be to have them protrude fwd and down a touch and taper to bit of an edge.

Looking good Bart!

Can't wait to see it once it's fitted. Please take lots of pictures. If it comes out the way I think it does, I might just want some for myself.

I agree Maverick, they are pretty rounded. Something with a steeper angle and tapered like the M3s get.

.
Nice add-on for those who don't want a full lip that might bottom out when leaving a steep driveway.

These were the splitters I was trying to remember...i think it's a whole bumper, but just for splitter design it would be perfect.

Great addition as it would look awesome in a light colored car. For a black car I dont like it so much
