Yes sir. I was using DR's... I may be wrong but I don't think you can go by the trap speed alone because that just means that you were spinning more than I without drags so your trap was higher...
Not much to drags, just a little heat in them first and then mash the go pedal. I do understand that it takes some time to get used to anything when it's new.
You need to get some drags.. You won't do much better without them.
You had some great times... Just wanted to post my **** as well.
We really need to get a tune only drag day going before they close the tracks.
Boy that would sure fire up this forum wouldn't it????

Going by trap speeds alone is not a good idea. To do it right would entail factoring in how much spin was in the 60' for a specific run as well. For example, if someone pulled a 1.6 60' and trapped 120 mph and someone else pulled a 2.1 60' and also trapped 120 mph, those two cars are not likely not equal in power. Being on street tires generally helps trap speeds as you've seen today. It would've been nice to see some runs from RalieghC63 with street tires in good weather. And it would've been even nicer if RalieghC63 had ran side by side with you on the same track and same day today This would've provided the ultimate data.

So Jim out weighs u by 70#s + your factory breaks are allot lighter in the rotational mass. Say on the low side = to 50#s physical mass brings u to aporoxiamatly 120# lighter and I do not no how much gas he had but say it was a1/4 your talking approx. 35 lbs extra in fuel you still are 85lbs lighter! I no you will come back with something else but... These numbers don't lie

I was at the track watching Jon (we all tried to help him) and I'm sure that with more practice his times will get better. Especially his 60'. Until he gets into 1.8x range, he will not see mid 11s.

Generally speaking, for every 100lbs you shed, you pickup ~.10 in the 1/4. Also keep in mind that a gallon of fuel weighs ~8 lbs.

I was under the impression you guys can get at least 10 passes in private rental events 
If not, it'd be nice to see all of your time slips so we have more data to compare just like how Petro and RelighC63 posted all of their runs. I could've swore reading somewhere that you ran a 12.3 @ 115 on DR as well

I would say, if you want to really tell what your car runs, eliminate the fastest run and the slowest run and then average the rest of your runs. I would say that would be a good real world outcome to how fast your car was that day. You can't really take your fastest time ever and say this is how fast my car is even though everyone does. The real world is what we live in and I would say that would be a fair indication of what your car does. I know everyone also talks about the altitude and everything else but the bottom line is that the weather is what it is and there is nothing you can do about it. Average all your times, eliminate the fastest and the slowest and let's see what everyone's time is, how does that sound?
