CF Intakes
Guys, finally cleared CF intakes through customs and threw them together loosely. I will be installing them later this week. Will see if I can get a before/after dyno run done, but no street test with 7" of snow of the roads Dyno comparison will be done on stock AMG ECU map as my other DD ECU is out for new tune to be set-up with LTs> Any gains should be noticeable if they exist. If no gain, well just another CF cosmetic mod to add to the list Will update ASAP.

I am inclined to believe that a significant opportunity exists for tuned/header cars in regards to the stock air intake. I would love to see a complete system from air scoops to manifold designed for maximum flow but NOT made in carbon fiber. Price point at $1,000 and real gains of 20~ whp

I'm eagerly awaiting your results.
Dyno numbers may not tell the whole story because of the wind speed needed
to replicate real world driving. Does your local dyno have plenty of fans?

Thanks Mike. The dynos here are pretty lame and I am not convinced that they have the set-up to simulate real world speeds. Decent thing is that they let me dyno for free as they love the C63 as they are pretty rare here and they like getting some decent cars on the dyno. Good guys. Will see what happens - or else I will simply need to wait for a day when the roads are clean and dry and take her out. Will update as things happen.

Bart, thanks. Have 5-6 more CF parts to do on and I think that will be it. Not sure what else I could do in CF and besides I need to start working on the performance mods more seriously and get it ready for the track in the spring.

Not at all. The purpose of the intake is to increase the volume of air into the engine. This design is suppose to increase the air volume by 1.6 times vs the OEM intakes and force it to the engine with more force.
