Resale value of 6.2 litre C63 after new 5.5L biturbo hits shelves
Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on whether the resale value of the current 6.2 litre C63 will be once the 5.5 litre bi-turbo hits the shelves?
I guess some things to consider might be:
- I know the 5.5 will have more power stock but with tunes etc on the NA 6.2, what is the HP comparison?
- The 5.5 will also have significantly better fuel economy. This doesn't bother me but will it bother people when comparing the models?
- What will the 5.5 sound like compared to the 6.2? Surely it wouldn't sound as good?
- Do you think that the 6.2 resale might actually improve when the 5.5 hits the shelves? ie. do you think some people might prefer the larger 6.2L NA engine?
- Will the 5.5 have better tuning capabilities via increasing boost levels etc?
Cheers,
John

no one knows for sure the results, but I'd guess that like anything new model, the older model loses value and most people will want the newer version that's just how life works, why do you think divorce is such a huge business?

will some people prefer the NA motor? Yes, but I'd guess when the 5.5TT or whatever replaces it in the C63 arrives, all of the fanboys will jump on board

as for the sound, you can listen to the sound of the new CLS63--on the video it just doesn't sound as good--I think our NA motors have one of the nicest sounding exhaust notes ever produced!

(just kidding guys)I guess that's why our resale in Australia isn't suffering that badly because the cars are quite expensive hence limiting the number of them on the road.
I paid $162K AUD ($167K USD) for my car on the road with Keyless Go, Rear view camera and LSD.
