Actual Top Speed?

Actual Top Speed?
I've seen a bunch of youtube videos with the C63 going around the speed limiter of 155 or 186 mph and I saw this one where the guy was apparently going 200 mph. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2kBysQT7Dw
And I was thinking what the potential top speed of the C63 is without the limiter or such. Any guesses? I'm thinking maybe 200+ but I don't know specifically what the limits of the transmission are.

My car is delimited - stock ECU - I hit 186mph (298 km/h).
In this thread Josh posted he hit 195mph. That's the highest top speed I've heard of until now.

The video seems legit though. In the comments section he says

No, it's not. It has more than 500 hp and no speed limiter

i think when they speed rate a tire, lets say to 186,it must sustain that speed for a certain amount of time.now if i was doing a run or two to about 186+ for a few seconds,i wouldn't be too concerned.now, anytime you decide to run that fast their are many factors you need to take into consideration, and one is your tires and their condition.

yours is an amazing machine my friend.I'm sure you're over 200 easy.now,I'm not too familiar with drag radials.do they have different speed ratings?

Some friends were planning a top speed event here in SoCal at an airstrip for Oct of this year, but it didn't pan out. That said, I spent a little time figuring out how fast I might be expected to go in 1 3/4 miles of acceleration, looking at verified top speeds for a variety of cars. My best guess is a true (not speedo-indicated) speed of 192mph min, 194mph max for my RENNtech-tuned/MBH-headered car, so I suppose that might be consistent with what Josh says. I don't foresee getting close to 200mph though...too much wind resistance.

i just checked the drag coefficient on the c63.its .32.so is the m6 and m5.and I've heard of those pulling to 200+ with a couple of mods, basically making the same power as a tuned c63 w/headers.so,is it because of gearing?now, if we had the drag coefficient of the the e-coupe we would be golden.it's down to .24.

In Japan we never have that much room to hit 320km or so but how long does it take to hit that number?
Does anyone did like 0-100km, 0-150km, 0-200km, 0-250km, 0-300km? Or rolling from 100km- 250km,etc.
My topspeed with mine is 270km. It needed good open road to hit this number.

I hit 310 km/h (192.6 mph) in 6th gear (digital speedo) driving on the German Autobahn. At this point the car is picking up speed extremely slowly but I guess given enough space I could've picked up another 10 km/h.

Exactly. Stock, no possible way, not even close, period. Heavily modified, maybe, but not easy. There are some very, very fast cars that can't crack the 200mph barrier. As much as I love my car and this forum, some of you guys have a vivid imagination when it comes to the real world performance capabilities of a car with <500hp and a curb weight of almost two tons (stock). Modded cars don't really count as far as I'm concerned since they are all different and I've seen way too many videos of the latest 700hp GTR, 800hp 911 Turbo, or 1000hp Viper/Vette/FordGT blowing up on it's "top speed" test run.

My understanding is that US federal standards require that speedo accuracy for cars sold in the US be no more than 5% and never less than true speed. while EU standards require no more than 10% and never less than true speed. On a different car (same US version C63) my friend said he saw 312KPH on the dig speedo while his Garmin Nuvi showed 302 KPH
