1990 300ce supercharged and intercooled
The most common reason that they get repl. is that one of the speed sensors goes bad. We now can repl. just the control unit without a valve body for this fault but that is within the last 3-4 months. Other than that we repl. valve bodies for mostly shift complaints. There have been many updates from the originals when 1st released in 2004. I do not remember what car this one came out of but it was either a standard c class or a ml or something.

I would ask them directly since they can't post here. From what I remember reading by what was posted by them a while back on another forum they claim to modify maps in the ECU that are related to shift quality or performance. They openly acknowledge they don't have 100% map access to the 722.9 TCU, however people do seem to notice the difference in shifting, at least those I've spoken to.

I hadnt heard that. Harrop make the superchargers for HSV / Walkinshaw dont they?

I have been in communication with the Weistec guys and pending a bit more DD will probably buy supercharger for CLK. I think they will be available very very shortly

I think they do the hsv/walkinshaw and the new fpv supercharged miami engines. James actually called me this morning about it. Im going to see him this thursday if i get time hopefully.

I visited the company website and know that they are moving but why not even a temporary address, cell phone# or real name?

I remember Vadim working on a Kenne Bell/Twin-Screw 2.3 litre SC kit for the 63 engine and even took some deposits. I believe a CLS63 owner had a dispute with the deposit or R&D investment. I wonder if Vadim is associated with this company? Vadim's shop was also in Costa Mesa.

Can someone at Weistec respond to these questions as I am looking for 63 to either supercharge or turbocharge later this year when my current project is finally completed. I don't want to be a guinnea pig anymore so will wait for the proven results and reliability from the volunteers like all the other 63 owners are.

We have no relation or association with Vadim or his shop. We don't expect any customer to be a guinnea pig whatsoever. All testing weather it be the component or calibration has been done in house by test cars owned by Weistec Engineering used specifically for this matter.

For what it's worth, Kenne Bell does not make a 2.3L. The do make a 2.1L and a 2.6L. Perhaps the other company that made an attempt was using something else. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks.

That's a relief to know. I forget that Costa Mesa is a Motorsports mecca much like Scottsdale or Miami is so there are numerous companies in that area. By the looks of the housing this looks like a Whipple manufactured unit. Am I right?

Needless to say, we are neighbors with many high end manufacturers. It is not a Whipple although it looks very similar. We can not have used an off the shelf unit, because of the tight space of these engines. Thanks.

It's not a KB because they don't sell their units to anyone except for one company that makes kits for Vipers. I asked KB last week and that's what they told me.

It looks to me like a Lysholm. I have what looks to be the same unit on my Chevy Truck. Vortech now sales a kit that uses their 2300 twin screw blower.
