Thinking of gutting out C63 muffler?

Been thinking about gutting out the C63 mufflers, Not completely so as not to get crazy drone inside the cabin but enough for the sound to be louder and deeper. Any body else thought of doing this?

Don't bother. They're not actually baffled mufflers, but straight through resonator boxes. Better to buy one of the many secondary cat/resonator delete kits available from forum sponsors if you want more volume. More bass is hard to come by with our cars.

Thanks for the info Josh, I already have the resonator delete and MBH x pipe installed, Just wanted a more aggressive tone.

If you want more aggressive, get some long tube headers and no cats....

Yeah, you can either get headers or just get rid of the mufflers altogether and swap the rear section of your exhaust from 2.5" up to 3". Either one would certainly do the trick. But you get a lot more power to go with the sound by doing the headers...

I agree. Headers would be the best alternative.

Like C63 guy stated, the factory mufflers are actually very aggressive especially for a MB, I doubt there would be much to gain there in terms of what you're looking for.

Lol _AMG_ you have played with your exhaust so much in the last 2 months. If you really want to go all out, you might want to consider LT headers!
