Do those small panels right below the headlights ever pop out after driving?

I've noticed it twice now that I have to push my drivers side one back in...they are the rectangular panels right below the headlights. I cant figure out what is making them pop out since I havent hit anything, and since the other one stays in place...has this ever happened to you?

Hasn't happened to me. Have the dealership check it out, should be a easy fix.

Sounds like a defective headlamp washer.

Happens to my passenger side one all the time. Kind of annoying. Let me know what comes of this, as I'm just going to bring it to the dealer's attention on the next oil change.

I've had this happen before too. Is it completely out? In my case, it's not open, just not 100% flush and I have to kind of knock it into a place a little bit. I assumed it was due to a pothole, but I suppose it could be the washer not closing properly.

2 things:

1) rather than knocking it in, pull it out. It's on a spring mechanism, and that will make it snap shut tighter.

2) do our cars have headlight washers? how do you use them?

they come on when the headlights are on and you use the windshield washers. all it really does is spray the entire front / hood with that blue *****.

The headlamp washers will pop out after every 10 sprays of your windshield washer wipes. That's a huge pain in the *** IMHO, especially after you wash your car and the headlamp washer fluid is sprayed all over your hood.

Do to the fact that must of us don't use them for the very purpose, the fulid gets all ove rthe car. I have used them on my E63, during the snow storm we had after christmas. But the E63 has its own separate button for the spray unlike my C63, that does it every 10 swipes of the windshield wipers.

Not fully out, but definitely raised enough so I have to pop it back in... I did use my windshield wipers (which I assume activates my headlight washers too) last night before I noticed this, so it makes sense that that was the cause.

Turn your lights off auto when you want to wash your windshield. No headlight spraying will result.

+1 Thanks! That's one of the reasons why I avoid using my windshield washers!
