Wink Arkym kits installed now what color rims?

Today I had my local shop spray painted my MB logo, grille, fog surrounds, rear trunk chrome part, c63, amg, mb emblem. and tips, all painted in matt black. Also traded in my stock calipers to P30 red calipers. Arkym lip, diffuser installed except the rear spoiler. Also this two pieces parts installed on the rear bumper. Called RS or something. my car is white and I think the contrast is good! I don't want 19" wheels. I wanna paint my stock 18" to Matt black. What do you guys think? Thought of Ferrari sceduria gloss grey. I don't want to get so many rock chips.

sorry guys, my car is super dirty. You get the rough idea. The 19" wheel is not mine. The tuner here borrowed to me until next week when my stock 18" is finished with the paint job. I want to keep my stock 18". I don't want to sacrifice the ride comfort. Since this is my dd. Also, the tuner will also add on the arkym spoiler at the same time and a different set of diffuser ( The rear diffuser is already painted but I think the quality is unacceptable ) You can see from the pictures it looks very cheesy. :o Does this apply to all arkym diffusers?

Looks Great! Sometimes I wish I had a white one! Would you smoke the taillights and paint the spoiler?

I think I will just add on the Arkym lip on it. Don't wanna mess with the stock paint.

MRR HR1s fit? Did you have the diffuser repainted or is that the black primer that it came in? Looks like it just needs to be sanded down and repainted. I really like the Akrym diffuser. One of the best looking ones, IMO.

I really like the contrast of matte black. The whole theme without CF looks great good job.

Here are my satin black stock 18". I didn't want matte black but it would be perfect for you car.

You need this spoiler but in matte black. Your Arkym diffuser is very aggresive and the stock trunk spoiler is just too subtle.

Thank you but they are not aftermarket. They are the stock C63 wheels "baked" in black satin black (semi gloss).

The wheels were baked in a large oven where the paint became more durable. It was more expensive than powdercoating but they guaranteed it was worth it. The color is satin black but now I know should have gone with gloss black. Nevertheless IMO the wheels look amazing, much better than stock paint.

Looks very nice! Now go clean that machine! lol

I like what you did with the rear trunk. I've been thinking of doing that to the chrome around my side windows.

Black and white contrast is nice. Arkym frp is supposed to be that color...unless you get the C/F version. The big thing that was in my grill was the license plate...sorry to burst your bubble. I reminded my sales rep to remind the mb technicians and whoever touches the car "NOT TO DRILL HOLES IN THE FRONT BUMPER" once a week till I got my car.

Very interesting... everything is painted matte black on your car... me like!

It looks like your diffuser fitment is poor (or the installation?)... and I thought the Akrym diffuser already comes matte black?

Thanks for the comments guys! I am waiting for my stock 18", arkym spoiler, a new piece diffuser next week. We shall see if it's the arkym's issue or the paint job.

Do you have complete side view pic of your whole car? I want to see how well the rear skirts line up with your stock sideskirts & CF front lip... thanks!

Are you planning on getting the CF sideskirts?

So is Arkym replacing your diffuser because it is damaged or didnt fit properly?

Thumbs up

+1

I got mine installed a month ago.
The Arkym diffuser definitely needs to get repainted and the fitment for the diffuser was not perfect, but acceptable.

The front lip fitment wasn't perfect too, I used a black silicon glue to fill up the gap. (about 1cm gap on one side)

The front comes with a nice painted flat black already.

Im curious why people say it needs to be repainted - its not a finished product? I thought It was a satin black colored finish??

^ Black primer. If I do eventually get one, I'll have it painted semi-gloss or have the painter "fog" (for the lack of a better term) the clear coat. Also, SEM does sell a black texture coating (similar to stock) that is DIY and comes in a rattle can.

Got mine yesterday - never opened it. I guess if it needs to be painted Ill do it with the grill and window trims and match them all.

I wonder how the diffuser would look in a gloss black or gunmetal grey on a white car?
