Hello I just swapped out my old C55 for an 09 C63. I have a question tho.
I got the multimedia PKG but I don't have a solution for the iPod / iPhone I'd love to be able to control it via the command. Any of you gents can point me in The right direction with this. After market ? Oem?

There is an OEM adapter and you may also use PCMCIA card. Enjoy...

Says you're in Dade - as in "Miami-Dade County in Florida"? If so, contact Technicar in Palm Beach - they work with RENNtech, Ferrari of Palm Beach, Collection, etc. to do exactly this, all the time.

I thought you got Ipod integration when you purchased the multimedia package?

I have the mm package & i control my ipod through the my COMAND screen.

I do too with MM package. I am totally fine with hooking up my old ipod (2007 small rectangle version) in and it is 4 gigs and just perfect for me. It charges it and everything. I have no issues. Until this method fries, I am good. I can control with steering wheel, command knob, dash, etc...

I second RDVT4ME, I have a question about the C55's chassis vs. the C63's. Do you think the newer chassis is better or a step in the wrong direction from the w203? B/c ive heard comments about the new C63 having a very loose and tail-happy rear end in fast turns.

Also does the C63 feel substantially faster than the C55 or only a little faster? (My brother is considering a C.P.O. C55 vs. a CPO C63, that's why im asking these questions lol)

I had a C55 awhile back. The C63 is light years ahead of the C55 in every single aspect. It's not even close.

Not to hijack the thread but you can't get a CPO C55 anymore. My experience is the w204 is more rigid and handle better than the w203. The loose tail-happy is how you deliver your power. 362 vs 451 is more than a little difference.

Day and night even though I had KW's, BBS LM wheels and a tune. The 63 is a sledge hammer. Love it. I just hate the fact that it's going to cost 750 to make the iPod work. I do love the car and all the pkg's it came with multimedia performance ect

Mike, you had a tune on the C55? Who did it and how did it work?? I've never seen one work on a C55?? Love to see a dyno chart for that one??

I drove the C55. It's strong but power wise, there is no comparison. Now tune the C63, add 60 or 70 more hp. That's 150hp more than the C55...

Hi there and congrats on the new purchase. We have a member also who went from a C55 > 911 > C63 and has been more than happy with the purchase. Funny thing is that your question is exactly the same thing he asked.

Apparently, you can only see the iPod or control it through steering wheel buttons and not the nav screen. Also as far as controlling it, the command knob can also slide up.

As far as his review goes between the C55 vs. C63, the same guy pretty much described the C55 as more subtle compared to the much more powerful C63 that always wants to be pushed to the limits.
