OK.. so I had a long interview with my salesguy at MB today.
Obviously these are salesguys and may be trying to seal/convince me about the deal.

- MPG: Both salesguys said about 350-400KM range before hitting the reserve. I'd think the reserve has about 50KMs in there so 400-450KM/66L tank is reasonable. (Mind you, I came from a VW Jetta 2.0T and it does 510-580KM/55L tank)
- Tire wear: Both salesguys mentioned it has to do a lot with driving style. And there are tires out there that provides tons of grip and excellent wear characteristics. One mentioned OEMs can last 20K KM - 40K KM. As well ask me to check these out .. Hankook Evo12, Falken Azenis, Falken 452s
- Snow tires: anything less than a 4x4 will be bad idea for winter driving. But then again, put on some snows and don't mash the gas peddle, I think it will be fine.

We are walking a very fine line between grip and wear. It is a compromise, as we can't have both.

MPG depends on how you drive your vehicle. If you are on the 401, 400 or whatever road and you are in a constant 90-100km/h grind as it gets sometimes, slap on the cruis and being good for certain parts will pay off when you want to wring its neck. That is what i do. On my morning commute it is 80-90km/h no matter what, so I put on cruise, watch the car sip while I listen to sportsradio saying how much the Senators suck!

You've purchased the WRONG CAR if the words "tire wear" and "gas mileage" are remotely in your vocabulary. Seriously.
There are many other cars with 'power on tap' that don't eat rear tires and drink petrol like it's going out of style.
Higher tread wear rating = less grip. Not a good idea w/450+HP on tap & the OEM soft tires already struggling for grip. When you do decide you want the 'power on tap,' you'll just spin the high treadwear tires into oblivion.
6.2L engine = low MPG.
What's the point in having this car if you're concerned with tire wear and you plan take the traction away with hard tires?

I personally don't mind the tire change out too much (you get to try new looks with different sizes and profiles), but yes even though you baby the hell out of it, it still rips through them like no ones business...

I disagree though; the C63 is the wrong car for anyone concerned with miserly fuel mileage and extended tire wear. Those 2 characteristics are not C63 characteristics, and that's not a fault of the car...on the contrary, it's just part of the package.
It'd be like buying a Prius for its acceleration and handling. Setting yourself up for disappointment.
