Akra make the worlds best exhausts and the one for the M3 is far and aways the best, so now they have turned their hands to the C63 im kind of tempted.

I've seen and heard it in person. It sounds decent, but the money would be better spent on LT headers.

i have the slip on installed, what i can say is "it completes the system".

i had headers + xpipe installed, the exhaust sound was amplified like 3 times with the stock resonator.

at some point, the sound was similar to a truck, very very raspy.

the akrapovic muffler has changed the tone of the exhaust completely.
much deeper tone, a tone that is addictive.

now i love reving my car more than ever.

ps: i have to admit that akrapovic stuffs are expensive

I'll tell you what'll snap necks...true LT headers, MHP, at a cold start or WOT. Even the normal start "bark" makes folks jump in the parking lot..

Yea, i have to agree, that's why some people will hike in himalaya, but others don't.

so far, i have only heard positive comments over akrapovic systems apart from their price. if you haven't installed a set of lt headers, lt headers are more cost efficient over performance.

There is no question though, that if you enjoy the raspy-ness of the OEM exhaust, you might not dig the Akrapovic. I didnt remove anything and added the MBH headers with tune upgrade and its a deep throaty tone, and doesnt sound like Petro's or other cars I have heard with headers and no akrapovic. I like the deep tone because it reminds me of when I had the Eisenmann on my E55 (with evosport headers, throttle bodies and upgraded Renntech tunes)....It is definitely dependent on what your tastes are.

Personally, I thought the Akra equipped car was the sexiest sounding C63 I have ever heard, and I have heard A LOT of C63's. Horny AF.
