Ok my last post on this thread.....
Ok true on both parts...
Just got out of my car for a very nice run from work to the house....I don't think I will ever look buy a Cadillac. I can't say for one main reason. But if for no other reason than I love my car. It's awesome! I have owned a CTS and it was a good car but just not for me. For whatever reason it's not. There are only two type of cars that have ever gotten any respect in my family (from the guys) and that's Porsches and Mercedes AMGs (we have owned a total of 9 combined). The Cadillac seems like a great car with lots of power and great interior...but not for me. America needs a car like that. Something that we can hang our hat on a say YES we finally caught up. Good thing for Cadillac forums and all other American car forums....I care less for those cars to waste my time commenting on them on outside what i drive. It's just me. It's been entertaining
Pushrod engines power some of the fastest cars in the world.
Whats funny is that OHC technology is actually OLDER, so I guess MB is using outdated technology huh

My brother bought the red CTS-V that was on the
turntable at the LA Auto show. He got it for 59K, which I think was about 10K off sticker. It has a manual tranny and is quite a monster. I have not driven a C63, but the Caddy is a interesting car. I think it is a long way from the American muscle car of the old days. My brother will only drive American and has had multiple ZO6's and has a 2005 Ford GT. He likes his V as a daily driver alot. Bad gas mileage, and you need too like the sculpted look.

It's ok.
I think most AMG guys here are not crazy about the TT engines because if the sound. That is one of the biggest allures of the car, the ridiculous exhaust. Then you have the CTS-V which does not sound great and the 5.5 TT which on a lot of clips has lost that gnarly edge. I don't think you can argue with the bhp/tq of the turbo motors and lag seems to have been made a non -issue plus the fact that fuel economy will be much better. Start/stop technology which also seems to be technology than many may seem resistant too.
Cars like the C63 are a dying breed for sure. A 12mpg supersedan that doesn't give a lick about anything but stimulating each of your senses.
I can't wait!

I love the 2012's new rear diffuser shape. Do not like front faschia, reminds me of Lancer Evo X, with bimmer headlights. I still prefer the pop up nav, but would take the rest of the interior and MCT. That is all

lol...I respect the CTS-V, although I would never buy one, it is most definitely a worthy competitor to the C63/E63...the American cars have come a long way and deserve more respect.

A good car is a good car, regardless who makes it.
I have a C63 but I understand CTS-V is a better car performance wise. I didn't get the CTS-V because it doesn't sound or look as great. (personal taste)
