C63 AMG Coupe.
The first official photos of the long awaited 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe have made their way online, roughly a month prior to its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
Sadly, those of us in the U.S. will have to wait until September to purchase the new Mercedes Coupe, which will enter into direct competition with the BMW 3-Series and the Audi A5 when it hits the market. Sources at Mercedes-Benz have suggested that pricing of the new C-Class will closely resemble prices seen on similarly powered C-Class Sedan’s.
Based on the same mechanical package as that of the C-class sedan, with which it shares its 113-inch wheelbase, the new C-class coupe retains the same basic styling cues as its four-door big brother, however the coupe offers a more sporty two-door layout and a 1.6″ lower roofline. To finish the coupe off, Mercedes outfitted the C-Class Coupe with B-pillars, a feature not seen on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe.
Two standard versions of the C-Class Coupe are planned for sale in North America including the entry-level C250 CGI with a 201-hp turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and the C350 CGI with a 302-hp naturally aspirated V6 engine – a model that should boast a 0-to-62-mph acceleration in 6.0 seconds. The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG coupe, scheduled to debut at the New York Auto Show in April, will join the other coupe models at its launch. The exact details are still scarce, but the sources at AutoWeek suggest that the C63 AMG coupe is in line to receive a new 422-hp naturally aspirated version of AMG’s new 5.5-liter V8 featuring cylinder shutdown and automatic stop/start. By contrast, the facelifted C63 AMG sedan continues with AMG’s older 457-hp naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8.

C-Class Coupe
A couple of other photos are here.
The AMG C-Coupe is scheduled to be shown at the New York show in April. Cough, cough, five point five, sans turbos.

I don't know. Base price of C63 sedan = 58k. Base price of E550 coupe = 55k. If E coupe gets the twin-turbo 4.6 with 429hp next year... who will buy a lower level car (C-class) that has the same hp if you can get a middle level coupe (E550) that is just as fast...

Personally, I like the looks of the E550 coupe more than the C63 coupe, based on the the pics I've seen.
I wonder what the weight difference will be?

Do the non AMG C's not have paddle shifters on the steering wheel? Didn't see any in the pic and never really looked or noticed on the w204's. Seems odd not to have them.

That's true Thank you for cheering me up
I don't know if i mentioned it but i placed the order inofficially, officially on monday. Diamond white, matte black 19", cf exterior package, panorama and P31. Those are the exterior options. I'm having high hopes

What does the CF exterior package include? CF mirrors?

Yes, it is going to be expensive...
Actually thought it was going to be carbon on the front bumper as well. If not i might have to reconsider. The option is something around 7k so i'd rather vinyl my mirrors :/ Not gonna pay 3k for the interior one.

I don't think all these options will be available in the C63.
As for the interior, just wait for an aftermarket set for $1000.
Although I have to admit it looks staggerring

No I don't and I haven't had major problems in the winter, which can be quite harsh in Poland. I have to say that the car is not a perfect choice for the winter but I love drifting slowly around corners in the snow. I'm not sure LSD would help in this case

yeah...probably not. I've gotten stuck a few times this winter, but airmatic has helped me out a lot when i can lift the car some 3 cm. Definitely not going to lower my C...

Perfect drop.
Probably not the wisest move but what the hell.

I do like the C coupe, I wonder how much it will cannibalize the e coupe sales, it will be fun to see if this C coupe takes off.
