I usually drive like this unless I have the woman in the car. It puts the power down as intended with no more babysitting by the engine...Especially on take off. Anyone else drive like this on a usual basis?

ESP Sport and Sport D1 @ take off. Tail happy without whipping the car around my ***.
Not sure about driving ESP off and Sport D1....I don't need the hair on the chest.

haha. The hardest thing is getting any kind of real life from rear tyres. I'm on my 4th set of rears and I've only had my car 10 months!
Cause my cars got an LSD too, U-turns and low speed 90 degree turns are hairy in the wet. As soon as I hit 2nd the diff just locks and out she comes. Just throttle control from there on.

Obviously we all know this, but its intense how much protection ESP gives when its on...I HATE IT. When I forget its on when launching, it so frustrating...

My car has not seen traction control or comfort setting in non-snow weather. Get in, turn off all aids.
Plus, I have no LSD, so the back end steps out like that is it's job.

Even with traction contrl off...I can still feel some sort of traction control working..I guess its never really 100% off? ??

I have felt a considerable difference with it off. Some people have stated the same, that it still interacts, but I don't know to what degree they or you can feel it...

Yeah mate. I doubt people see a Merc sideways much, so when you're around me for a day in Winter it's sure a show.
Only issue is that I gotta always watch for cops at intersections ahah, cause here (just like there) sideways = hooning = impound

I've recently taken to driving daily with ESP Sport and S mode after I got the tune. Otherwise, the traction control is almost always cutting the power. That said ESP OFF is only considered foe dry weather and in Manual mode (so I have control in case I start a drift which is highly likely in tight corners) and when not trying to break the sound barrier!

Semi off topic : In the near future I want to get wider tires to fit the oem 18 in. wheels, and using oem spring/ride height. Trying to find good numbers for front and rear where it doesn't rub the top and side of fenders. Also, revving in P is ok just like it is in N right?

From what I understand, revving in N is better as it allows you to rev a bit higher than when you're in P. I think you can safely go up to 4000 rpm's in N.

I don't want to get into the tire discussion because it seems like C63 owners have some varied experiences with tire width. I have 265 Hankook's in the back -- I don't like them -- but there is no rubbing at all.

Reving in P and N is the same thing. You can rev both to Redline. I found out the hardway when my salesman did that in my car to impress me to ensure that I buy the vehicle. lol

I defer to your experience. Personally, I wouldn't rev to redline in either P or N. But, thanks for the clarification.
