Tire width for 19s
I'm looking to upgrade to 19s and see a lot of people do 245/275 width for 8.5 and 10 rims.
However am I correct in saying that 245/265 is actually closer to stock specs and a better fit for an 8.5 and 9.5 rim?
Anyone ever compared 245/265 vs 245/275?

I've tried all possible setups on my 19" Multispokes:
-235/245
-235/255
-235/265
-235/275
-245/255
-245/265
-245/275
... and the only difference I saw was the height of the tire sidewalls...

The only difference I saw was increased traction
275s all the way unless you are running lower springs / coilovers in which case you may experience rubbing.

I'm actually in the same position...I was hoping I could run 245/275 on the stock suspension without rubbing.
Any opinion on the profile? Do you guys think I'll have any issues with the computer if I run a 35 profile front and rear? NYC roads are rough...and I've hear people complaining about traction control kicking in if the aspect ratios are off.

Im in the same boat as well. im going with 19 245/275. I have not ordered my set up yet but Ive asked this question to many people and on stock suspension there is no rub as long as you get your off-sets right.
This is just a gauge ive come up with so far but dont know if its going to work yet.
Front off-set +38 to +43
Rear off-set +50 to +54
This is what ive come up with through inquiry. Comments?

The biggest issue i can see with the front tires, is that if there too wide, the tire could actually hit the spring purch. As for the rears, rubbing the fenders. I run a 235/40 and a 265/35 on stock wheels. But on my E63 245/35-19 and 275/30-19.

On my H&R spring lowered car I run:
19x8.5 et35 with 245/35's
19x10 et55 with 275/30's
ZERO rubbing anywhere have put over 1,000 miles on this set up and again ZERO rubbing.
Tire brand is important if you plan on lowering, not all tires are the same size even if they are the same size.
