2012 Ordered -- But to DINAMICA or not to DINAMICA?
I'm joining the ranks and ordered a 2012 c63 sedan. Very excited. Options will include lsd, multi-media, lights, and new sapphire gray exterior. Here's where I need help.
The x-factor is the new DINAMICA interior. It replaces the old clingy cloth as the standard. My understanding is that DINAMICA is a faux suede similar to alcantara -- but info on it is sparse. I am fully aware that forgoing the leather package will make me a pariah and may slaughter me on resale, but I don't really care. I have alcantara inserts in my current car seats and absolutely love them -- to the point I actually paid extra for them over standard leather. In short, my interest in DINAMICA is not to save money, but because I may prefer it.
But I'm struggling to find photos online, and searches of mbworld forums are turning up virtually no discussion of it. Has anyone here seen DINAMICA fabric (as opposed to the cloth available in prior years) firsthand or know where we can find photos? Any other 2012 orderers considering it? Thanks for the input -- this is a great forum.

I have not seen it but by all means go for it, as this is for your enjoyment now and not some dude 2-3 years down the road. Talking about resale value and gas millage is pretty much a moot point for us anyway .

p.s. is this what you are referring to?

Actually no, as leather seats are part of them seating package which also includes memory. If you don't order the package, then you get the default 2 tone seats instead. However, the default seats are rather rare as almost no one, including dealers, getting a C63 not getting the seating package.

Have not seen the new seats first hand, but I suspect they will give the car a sportier look and feel inside. I have the cloth seats and LOVE the look and feel, although I do agree that there may be a resale penalty some day.

I also found this photo on Edmunds from their article on the c63 coupe. The article says this is a shot of the standard Dinamica interior. Not too bad if they're correct:

Headrest looks different on the new car eh? Anyway, I suspect that the color of the dinamica (in the linked photo) may match the alcantara on the P31 steering wheel...which makes sense. In fact, it could be annoying if it did not match.

Congrats on the order Wolvesq!
Wow - I didn't realize those are the standard seats - looks great. Cant wait to see it in person.
I wonder if it still has seat memory.
Side question, do all premium leather seating packages have heating in the seat?

Glad to hear you're enjoying your cloth seats. I have to admit that part of the allure is having something different.
