Tires wearing very uneven in various spots
I don't know how to start. Maybe you can connect the dots for me because I don't have an explanation.
My rear original tires were beyond bold at 5500 miles(no burnt outs at all) and they were bald on the center (maybe over inflated) but not much on the sides. Dissapointed never the less because most of those miles were straight miles on HWY. I replaced them with 275's Nittos, not much of a problem after that..
Now my original front tires with 16000 miles are worn uneven. The front right tire (passenger) is absolutely bald/worn out in the center/middle , it looks like a formula one car tire of a drag slick. The driver side(left) is worn out on the sides but not much in the center. Surprisignly the driver front tire still has much more thread than the passenger.
I know all of these sounds confusing to you here is the short version:
Tires are not wearing at the same rate or at the same spots. In top of that the TSPS is a POS. I might invest on a full aftermarket TSPS and perhaps take the car to have the alignment checkout.

Pictures #1 and #2 are from my passenger side front tire. Picture #3 is the driver side. No auto cross, no road courses, just driving to work everyday at around 50 MPH.

Guess what. I just went to the garage to check the pressure and I am pissed. It seems like the shop that just repaired my front grill over filled all my 4 tires to 45psi.
I just had my car fixed this Monday and before my car was delivered to me it was detailed which included putting some air. The guy that gave me my car told me that they put some air in the tires.

Uneven wear on the fronts, particularly on one side of the tread surface only, must be an alignment or balance issue (probably the former as I reckon you would notice a balance problem as a shake/vibration through the steering wheel).

Agreed with jimmyR. Even 45 psi isn't bad, if it's within the limitations of your tires. I run 42 psi constantly (unless at the track) as it protects rims and works better on long highway trips.
I'd check the alignment, but if you haven't noticed an issue since getting new tires, that points to bad balancing.

Rear's are over inflated based on both having the same center wear pattern. Fronts are harder to tell. Out of balance you would feel esp in the front. It's got to be a camber or toe issue. You'll need adjustable camber bolt (a MBZ stock part) to deal with it.

Well,
I took the car to the dealer and the service advisor told me that you are entitle to one free(one time deal only) alignment within the first 12000 miles. I am out of that range because I am at 16000 miles now but I am just letting you guys know.
By the way, the dealer quoted me $149 for a 4 wheel alignment.
