Tires questions, cannot decide despite all the related threats...

perhaps a tire forum is needed for the C63...
anyway here it is. running stocks 18's 235/40 and 255/35 and my rears are shot (again) right now so need to make up my mind. fronts have 14Kmls and i am planning to change those at the same time. car is fun weekend car HOT Houston weather so dont care about snow and rain. love the feel of the OEMs , while rears leave much improvement in the grip department i like the way the car feels and communicates when reaching the limits in corners and the slides are always easy to control, steering is nice and direct.
would like i fatter tire for grip and looks but dont want to give up the feel if possible. my experience with my '02 M3 with sizing up front and rears was positive in the grip department but had to give up some of the crispness in the handling department which i am not sure if i want to give that up in the C63 unless you guys can convince me that this will not be any problem with certain tires.
option 1: front 245/40 , rear 275/30 means slightly higher front, rears about the same as stock . going rears 275/35 i think may make the tire too high looks wise , comments wlecome
#2 : front 235/40 (stock) rears 265/35 (slightly higher but perhaps doable)
#3 : front stock rears 275/30

too many options of the tires brands as well but i think i will figure this out my self. want to get some more millage but since i only drive 4-5Kmls per year right now not that important. price wise looking for the middle of the road.

thanks for your help.

Have you actually found a 275/30 ? It would be just over 24 inches tall.

I personally run Dunlop Star Specs 245/40 and 265/35 and I think it works great on a lowered car.

Actually I thought 275/30 would be the same height as 255/30 but to answer you question no I have not checked availability

get the 245/265 star specs you wont be disappointed especially in the rain. 245's the steering will be heavier at first but then you get used to it. they dont get greasy in the texas heat either. im on my 3rd set so far. ive been getting mine from discount tire in houston and austin. i paid 1240 otd for my last set.

been getting between around 8k out of them. the problem is hard compounds last for 10k but no grip. so id rather have good grip for 2k less than suffer thru 10k of suck.
