mine is just shy of $4000 us but I have full insurance with a 1 million dollar policy. I get a discount for paying in full so I actually pay $3600 a year. I do have another car on the policy but its only $120 extra. Im not sure why that is cause its an audi a4?
so, for the c63 total, it would be $3480 a year.

It depends on your insurance company, your life status (married or not, etc etc), your age, your driving record.. and probably a bunch of things the insurance companies like to not tell us about but use against you anyways..
I recently switched from Geico to Liberty mutual, and my insurance went to $1090 USD every 6 months, to $1060USD per year.. I am getting a slight discount because my home owners insurance is also with them, and we have a second car discount as well, but even without those things, my insurance rate would have dropped by a good 30% if I had switched..

HOLY CRAP!!!!! even by my crappy driving (okay, been good for the last 4 or 5 years or so) record, my insurance is 1/4 of yours, with similar coverage (I think mines at 750k, but that is a requirement by my company, as I do alot of driving as a consultant)....

Yeah, your still getting screwed...
I'll run down a little of my history...
2 Accidents in my wifes car (while she was on Liberty Mutual) which were my fault, both around $1300 to $1500 in damages, not including the car rental for about 2 weeks at a time.
2 More accidents with my wifes car, neither involved me or my wife being in the car, its a long story for 1, but the other driver's insurance covered the repairs, the second was while my wife was parked (no one respects anyones stuff any more), our insurance covered this one as well. Her car was an 05 Infiniti FX35.
No tickets with points on them, but a couple of camera tickets here and there.
With my car, in the last 5 years, prior to getting the C63, I had a Camry, where I had one accident, myself at fault, where I rear ended a lexus at like 5 mph in DC rush hour traffic.. the owner blue it out of proportion, tried to claim a neck injury, my insurance company did not believe him, but covered around $500 to have his bumper repainted (I could have wiped off the pain my car left on his bumper....).
Around 2005 or 2006, I forget, I had a motorcycle accident, found at fault due to me hitting the rear of the car (granted, the motorcycle was on its side sliding into the car and I went over the rear cars bumper.. walked away with out a scratch fortunately, full riding gear), even though the car hit their brakes at a green light while I was looking behind me for a quick second).
edit: I forgot to mention that the GSX-R600 I had was totaled, so that is around 6k (whatever I had left on the loan)
With all that, my insurance has never been as high as yours..
Oddly enough, the insurance only went up around $20 between the Camry Hybrid (2007) and the C63 I replaced the camry with, which surprised me a little.

I pay roughly $2k per year for mine in Montreal. 2 speeding tickets, no accidents, no claims.
For reference, I am actually saving about $50 per year over my Subaru STI. I guess the C63 doesn't fit into boy racer category... yet.
And Americans, your insurance is completely different than ours up in Canada, so it's not really a worthwhile comparison.

Hi, paying $1500/yr here in BC. When the broker called the insurance co. they wanted to know if I would be racing the car. His reply was "no they are an old retired couple", it's true. :-)

Call your insurance company and find out yourself.
Premiums are all different depending on the driver and insurance company. It would have taken you a lot less time than starting this thread.

I pay $2008 a year for both a 07 E63 and a 10 C63. I think that not bad considering, that these aren't cheap cars.

Ok...I just got off the phone with my insurance company and I found out why my insurance was so much higher than everyone else. They didnt take the policy of a car I sold 4 months ago off. ARG!!!! Ive been paying on a car I didnt even own lol.
Well they refunded most of my money and here are the new numbers
$830.00 US for the C63 every six months
$330.00 US for the A4 every six months
so the C63 is $1660 a year.

Paying $567/yr in Cali 250,000/500,000 liability 100,000 property damage with $500 deductable. I have a $3 mil umbrella on top of this which is $300 (really cheap). All with Liberty Mutual.

Honestly, if it had not been for my wife.. they probably would not have taken me. Liberty Mutual is very picky about who they insure, and while the general consensus on how far back insurance companies look is between 3 to 5 years, there is a massive database out there that all insurance companies use, that has your entire driving history.
I got lucky this time, 3 years ago when I tried they would not touch me with a ten foot pole...
But give them a try, and see what they come back with.
Btw, you do not have to wait on your current policy to end, you can switch now if you want, they will prorate your policy, and return the unused funds. They will also try to get you to stay... So it might be worth a try to get competing quotes, and use those as leverage.

I pay $924/6 months...initially, my long-time insurer Nationwide quoted me $1656/6 months...I called up Geico and they made me an offer that I couldn't refuse.

Wow, who are you with? I'm turning 28 with 2 "less than 45km over" tickets but they drop off in 2 months. Currently paying 5100/month for a c63 and a c230 with Aviva.
